turning off the nav display

read the manual and found no reference to this. when you turn on the car you get the disclaimer and then if you do nothing the monitor goes off. ok no problem. but if you turn on the radio or touch the map screen button [have as of yet to say 'map' or nav and have the screen come on] how do you get the screen display to turn off?

Press the Setup button and turn the video off.

Couple of ways: If you touch the "radio" button to display radio information, then press it again, you are taken to the disclaimer screen and the screen turns off after about 15 seconds.

From the map, the only way to turn off the screen is what joganjani mentions above...details: press "setup", look for the "display" section, then select "off" and the screen will turn off. it's a bit cumbersome and I wish there were a voice command, "screen off". There's not, I looked. Maybe in the next rev of the navi software?

PHD not needed here

Out of the 293 voice commands, you would think one command would be "display off."

That isn't rocket sicence.

It takes 2 separate voice commands to turn off the display.
Setup
Display Off

Still cumbersome. There should be one command that can be used from any menu or screen.
