was commin home from my ladys house around 2 am. Cruisin down route 22 east for all you jersey people, up ahead of me i see a late 2nd gen eclipse prolly a 97-98 with a huge coffe can exhaust. As i get close i push it over into the ss and drop the gear into 3rd and get up next to him, i look over and he looks over and we both take off. From a 50mph roll he pulled on me a lil on the jump then i started creeping up and just cruised past him, i could hear him spooling hardcore...we let off around 115...route 22 is just crawling with piggies.

 

my buddy with a 98 manual eclipse non turbo is always trying to tell me how he would rape me in a street race. I never really thought about it, but I guessing it would be a good race or I would win. He has CAI/H/E and some cooling mods, I also think he has got a racing clutch. I got i/h/e/p/ and thermospacers and bypassed the coolant. Doesn't even matter though he is in Seattle and I am in Vegas.

 

Youre nuts for runnin on 22 unless youre past Hillside then you can open it up till you get to Newark.

nope,it was a black eclipse with a black guy drivin, eh i dont go that far up on 22...started down by bridgewater and went all the way down to plainfield haha
i dont do it often on there but somtimes the temptation is too great

btw: you would destroy that non turbo eclipse...unless hes spraying somthin serious hahaha

eh im up and down 22 all the time, i pretty much have it down every spot they sit even though there is so many haha

i dont think it had a kit, it did have a big wing but i think it was the stock one, the big supra wing lookin thing..it sounded nice...

 

3rd gear at 50mph????? You would have destroyed him if you would have taken it down to the right gear for 50mph 2nd gear!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I actually raced a Eclipse last night. I think same generation. Waste of time. It was manual. I was listening for spool or blow off, but didn't hear anything. He wanted to go so we took of from a light I started very light on throttle and just breezed by him. Looked and sounded nice, just not fast. Good kill.
