Its in the link.... 2.3 quarts I believe. My car took almost 2.5 before it came out the overflow. Synchromesh made a dramatic improvement in my car. Worth looking into.

I had the GM Synchromesh oil for many years, and it completely eliminated difficulty of shifting into 3rd gear. But recently the problem returned. Is that oil still the way to go or should I try something else, like RedLine MT90 or MTL? The car has over 90k miles on it.

I wanna ask another question have any of you guys tryed the Pennzoil syncromesh.I have been looking around and there are many that say it is similar if not the same to the regular syncromesh from GM not the friction modified just re badged ,but then there are people saying that they are completely different so i am lost

but were live the nearest dealer that has it I really do not wanna pay close to 20 dollars a quart for the GMSFM so i am looking into trying the Pennzoil out but was wondering if you guys could give me some feed back?

Yes i know people are going to come out and say just get the GMSFM pay the extra but i can get Pennzoil for around 9 dollars a quart with tax for the Pennzoil vs 17 + tax from the dealer, but if you guys could can you guys give me some info on why it is better or on par etc then Pennzoil i would really appropriate it

Thanks

Pennzoil is not the friction modified formula. The difference is exactly as the name implys. It has ingredients that modify the amount of friction in the oil. My local dealer stocks it for $16 a quart. You only need 3. Even at your price the difference is $30. Considering the value of the car and the repair cost of the transmission I'd say $30 should be an afterthought.
