Yeah basically he did do a hit and run, but then I dont know for what reason, he came back in his car. The cops did go to his house though and check out everything.

The cops didn't tell me what they did to him, but he told me he got a ticket for reckless driving.

He must have been high or knocked off his front plate to go back like that.. what a dumbass.. I'm suprised his ride was operable.. I would think his rad would have at least been destroyed.. Any thoughts on the upgrade, because your TL is definitely a total loss.

From the looks of the damage, he had to be going faster than 30 MPH. Can't understand how people can just run into a parked car. People just don't pay enough attention when they drive.

Jamal, sorry for your misfortune. When his insurance company contacts you BE CAREFUL what you say. Remember, they are looking to settle this for the LEAST amount of $$ possible. Stand up for yourself, remember this is their clients fault, he hit your legally parked car and then fled the scene. Don't let them low ball you if they do in fact total it, this is a common industry practice (can you tell I don't trust insurance companies?).

Amen, Brother!

Stay prayed up, b/c like alot of peeps here have already said, its alil dicey when money needs to exchange hands... do NOT agree to make a TAPED statement over the phone with his insurance company... let your company (or a lawyer) do the negotiations...that's what you pay them for...Cannot wait to see how u will be rollin in a few!

thankfully you were not in the car and I hope that your car gets repaired/replaced quickly

and in most states hit and run is a felony so I am sure he got more than reckless......

I'm pretty thankful I have a WDP everytime I see one of these incidents and notice the vehicle is dark.

Wow! a jeep liberty t-boned me a few months ago. I was doing around 50mph give or take and my car was not nearly as bad as yours, so I'm thinking he was going faster than 30mph. I guess this was in a neighborhood so the speed limit was probly 25. So when you're at fault, you're not gonna say 30mph unless you were doing like 50. Glad nobody was hurt, take this opportunity to upgrade!

There is no way in hell that was a 30-40 mph crash. That kind of damage is at least 60mph, probably closer to 70.

Sorry for your loss!

Thank GOD you were not in the car at the time.

Like others have said, now you can check out the new TL SH-AWD. But if you can get a beater for a year the 2010 TL SH-AWD manual will be out. That would be an awesome car IMO.

Wow. TL took the hit but no crushing effect for the rear seats. Very good sign. Sorry for the loss though.
