well ihave done the dome lights and the door lights, and for those all that you need is a small flat head screwdriver in order to pop the plastic cover off

I am looking to do the vanity mirror lights as well as license and back up lights...so i am not as sure about those

you could get away with using one smaller flat head screwdriver. but a phillips head will help with the license plate and back-up lights because there is a phillips screw holding on the trunk handle on the inside of the trunk. but again, you could use a small flat head if thats all you got with you. the hardest to get to is the vanity, but again, you just need a flat head.

i dont think it was really meant to be taken out because it is kind of a pain. but the light is inside a metal bracket and if i remember correctly the bracket holds on to the headliner on the right and left side of the bracket. i think i started on the outside edge, so if it is the driver side it would be the left side, and then just insert screwdriver and pry the headliner open a little while trying the pop the metal bracket out. i think once you get one side out all will go pretty easy. but for me, i kinda bent the sides of the bracket on the removal so when i inserted them back in they would just fall out. so before i put them on i just bent out the metal clip/holder so it was horizontal-ish, instead of the down facing direction it ended up in when i removed it. it is also easy to re-bend it on the re-install because as you are pressing up on the light the clips want to bend down. so just take your time and try to pry the headliner as open as possible. its not hard and this description may not make sense until you get in there, but off the top of my head its the best i can do.

the links provided above where my only instructions, so use them.

there are tons of links, but they are the same bulbs as in the other interior, the door, the backup and license plate. but i used the tower style led for the vanity and back-up, and used the single led ones for the rest. Kennedy has multiple threads that include both the type and style, as well as where to buy.

You pretty much only need

Flat screw driver for Door, Interriors, Vanity (might wanna tape around it)

and for trunk obviously u need + driver to take out all of those 11 things

for backup lights and license lights u don't need anything after taking out the trunk cover

the links i used to get the light / and replace the lights

Vanity mirror is the worst out of all. Don't be afraid to break it. It won't. Driver side took like 15mins cuz i didn't really know how to do it and was afraid. second one took 7 secs. lawl.

If you play with it too much it might loosen the plastic. So stick it in, push it while pulling out.

and gotta kinda bend the plastic back when u put it back in to stay / not to move around.

Just FYI. I did the license and backup last weekend, and the whole trunk cover does not neeed to come off. Just the four clips from the front, one from each side, and the two rubber holders..... and one phillips screw in the middle.

Easy for you to say, lol. Those stupid F'n plastic lenses cost like $16 each and, yes, they DO break.

I have put a curse on engineer who designed the vanities. He will rot in Hell for all eternity replacing vanity bulbs on a 3G TL.

The "trick" is get that small screwdriver between the Lens and the Metal Bracket and push the Lens clip in, then pull down. The clip is on the side closest to the center of the car.

Oh, and someone posted detailed instructions with pictures a while back and suggested using Scotch tape to remove hard to reach bulbs. Did mine Saturday and that little trick worked like a charm.

LEDs look cool...and much brighter. Didn't realize how yellow (i.e. crappy) the old bulbs looked till I swapped 'em out.
