TL's handling
#42
I had to post again cuz I tested my suspension out and I think it's great. Sticks like glue. Keep in mind though that I have 18" tires and the Dynamic suspension.
I can't believe how scared TSX people had me about the TL"s handling. I think its almost as good as the TSX, but the car is lower and heavier. Maybe they are justifying their purchases by saying the TL sux at handling?

Edit - Never mind. Found it in your other thread. 6MT - Never heard it called that before.

TL Dynamic huh? Well, I didn't know there was yet another superlative to use about Stella's handling or suspension, but Dynamic will do! Tein SS w/EDFC this month anyway though for dropping it like it's hot! Not into tossing her, but nice to know I can...

It all depends on what you are used to. If you are used to real hi-po rwd sports cars then yes the overall performance is lacking. It is not a corvette, M3, MB, etc. I am fortunate enough to have driven just about everything out there but a McLaren and a Lamborghini.
However, for what it is I rate it highly, it has a nice balance of performance, comfort, features, etc for the price. For the money the high speed stability is quite impressive. On a trip a few weeks back I cruised @ 90 plus for about 1000 miles and last weekend @ daylight I ran her up to 130 on an empty stretch of highway. She just kept pulling. I have little doubt the TL-S will run well right up to the rev limiter without any looseness or lightness in the steering.
My wife has had a TL since 06 which I never really pushed( I drove it only occasionally, she kept the keys away from me). It is a nice luxury sedan. 3 months ago I bought a 07 TL-S. Aside from the torque steer and the stock tires I am pleased. If you want more performance, go for the BMW M. Of course you will pay for it.
It is a fun, comfortable, nice looking, easy to drive sports sedan.

G35 is a bit too bland for me, so type-s would be the logical choice for me ... no regret so far ....
