Hey guys, I wanted to know if anyone has ever put Light under the hood that shine on the engine when the hood is open. I dont know where to get them. I was thinking either blue LED or white. If you could help it would be appreciated

i think a white light for when your working on ur engine would be nice....not for underglow. I would like it on the car itself

If you are talking about for "working" under the hood, then a hanging light which can be bought at any auto store will suffice. But as for adding a light for aesthetics - not no, but HELL NO!! Unless you are in a show - WHY??????

The only way i see it turning on when you open the hood is if you tapped it into the sensor that detects when the hood is open or closed. Sounds like more hassle than its worth, especially when all i typed into google was "garage hanging light" and got that cordless one in my first post.

that is true. If you wanted to do it for a show you could put small led's but idk how many u would need for good lighting?

I have seen under hood lights in places like JC Whitney and auto parts stores. They tap any hot wire and use a mercury switch to turn the light on when the hood is open. For working on the car in the garage, I would not go to the trouble. It would be incredibly nice though if you ever had engine trouble while out at night.

+1

But then it's a Honda/Acura. Never really heard of a 3G TL that broke down on the side of the road though
