so on the way home tonight from a quick walmart stop, a kid in an SRT-4 is tailing me like no tomorrow. he finally gets beside me and flags me down and wants a quick race (prob cause his buddies were in the car, trying to show off). so we go from a 40 mph roll. three honks and i'm gone. what an idiot right? once i punch it, i'm already in vtech. so then i slow down and he wants to go again from a 40mph roll. he's pissed cause his buddies are all laughing at him. same thing. by the time he caught up i was done racing for the night. haha ahhh that made my night.

i mean, as you can see in my signature, i don't have all that much modded on my car. all i really have done is a CAI and exhaust, but i guess that's enough to leave a SRT-4 in the dust.

if you were wondering, i hit 115 on the first run, and 135 the second.

Well he mentioned that he had buddies in the car. That is extra weight right there. That is a killer; especially for turbo 4 bangers. If the SRT was stock, then yes I believe him.

 

When I was dynoing my TL their was an SRT-4 putting down 634 to the wheels I think he could of got me....

in theory, the srt4 should just take it. but if the srt4 and tl are on a roll, and the tl is in 2nd right before vtech, while the srt is in 2nd maybe 3rd .. the tl will pull away due to the vtech kicking in.

oh and just a little story of my own, i raced a teggy just a ls with slight mods and from a stop to 100 he gets me by about 2-3 cars. and from a roll on i kill him! i know VTEC plays a big part in this. just thought id share

And that's a bad thing how??? Last I checked, an Accord had 100X the curb appeal, class, reliability of the Neons that kids drive their Freshman year of college.


(Although technically, I don't see/feel an Accord when I look at or drive 3rd Gen TL's. 2nd Gen, much more so)
