I was driving over to a friend's house and coming up to a redlight. I needed to get over into the right lane to make a right at the next light but there was a Mercedes coming up about 50' away. I could've merged over easily but I didn't want to be a jerk so I figured I would just punch it on green. While we're sitting there, this guy lunges forward. I look over and it's a guy in a suit, maybe 55yrs old. I chalked it up to his foot slipping off the brake. Light goes green and I go 3/4 throttle and he's right next to me. I floor it and start barely pulling. My turn is coming up and I had the option to back out and turn in behind him but I wasn't going to do that. So I stayed in it and put a couple cars on him.

Pretty boring. Mercedes looked to be pretty old and stock.

I am glad to see you getting some action with your TL.

Good decision to had kept your foot in it. A person can always loop around to catch a missed turn. The race is more important than sticking to the route.
