That's good to know.

Hey thanks, I love all cars. I grew up driving Honda Accords and Acura Integras. But I've always loved the rumbling V8! I think every car is unique in its own way.

There's no warning that the car is coming, because it's just so quiet. It doesn't have the roar of some gigantic V8 or V10 engine. It was very impressive.

Wow, great pictures. You're making me excited. Very excited! On my way home from work today, I got into the spirit of driving the 335i and man can that thing haul ass. And yes, it's very quiet. You hardly know the thing can go that fast until you hear tires spinning, into 2nd and 3rd year too. And that's all stock. I definitely need some non run flat summer tires if I'm going to chip this quiet beast.

I was really lucky. I got my '07 335i sedan (24k mi) with almost all the options and 100k mi CPO for $28.8k.

My TL/6MT has 28,000 miles on it & has been in for, dead tail/stop light, 2 weeks old - entire left unit replaced. Transmission very stiff shifting when cold, 4 months old - gear oil replaced. Power steering hose replaced - recall. Window wiper motor replaced - recall. 3rd & Reverse gears replaced - TSB.
I agree, sometimes it's hit or miss with many of these cars. That's why I decided to give BMW another chance. Having 100k CPO is a peace of mind too.

Agree.

We have 3 in the family.

My 2004 330/6MT convert is the oldest with the most millage. My youngest daughter has a 2008 328/AT 4 door & my oldest daughter has a 2009 135/6MT convert.

So far all is well with them all. In addition we have 3 Honda products the 2006 TL/6MT & a pair of 4x4 Pilots a 2007 & a 2008.

Outside of the TL they have not been in for other then normal maintance.

I have been through a lot of cars in 50 years of driving & other then my first car a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 convert, bought used, I have neaver really had a bad one.

I think oveall a lot of the problems are overblown since people who have quality issues tend to post more then people who don't.

The BMW I had was 04'M3(what was I thinking 21 and paid cash for it...LOL!!!)...I had nothing but trouble always in the shop, repairs were costly...I fell in love with the look of the car and purchased every extra...paid a price and ended up selling it 5 months after I bought it. Ask yourself this question do you see BMW's on the road that are 5 years old???? NO-most people Lease those cars. I love my Acura's I have owned 4 of them 01' Integra GSR, 04' TSX, 09'TSX, 08'TL-Type S...they have an excellent Reputation and worth every Penny!!!!!

Costly repairs? 2004 would be under the BMW free maintance program till 2008/2009 depending on the month bought & milage (50K).
