I hope you are kidding you would not even stand a chance with your TLS he would have knocked your doors off. Truck has 400+ horsepower and sick torq, Not even close 0-60 is 4.3
Any other Jeep should lose to a TLS easy but not an SRT 8

Yeah, I have driven the SRT8 Jeep and NO TL, Type-S or not could catch one. 6.1 Hemi, 425 hp, AWD...not a chance, those things are stupid fast. The wheels are like 20x10...it hooks up. I took TCS off and couldn't get it to break loose, it just feels like its gonna lift off the ground. Fastest production SUV in the world, it even beats up the Porsche. From a dig, or even highway, it would still beat you.
But, if its just the 5.7 Hemi, he will get you off the line but you would catch him.

I think the Cayenne S Turbo has a 0-60 time slightly slower than the SRT8.
I would take the Cayenne S turbo in the twisties over the SRT8 though.
Which leads me to wondering, why would we take SUVs to the twisties? :- ].

The SRT8 Jeep is quick but you need not go exotic to beat it. As a matter of fact, the MB ML63 AMG can give the Jeep SRT8 a dose of its own medicine. LINK
As for any stock Honda or Acura product beating one though, only the NSX has the potential to do so.

For starters, Jeep updated the whole works, adding a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 to the Grand Cherokee's options list. The newly available engine brings to three the number of powerplants you can choose from: a 210-hp 3.7-liter V-6 (which replaces the old 4.0-liter in-line six), and a 4.7-liter, 230-hp V-8 taking up the middle slot.
The HEMI isn't just an option, however - it's the Nuclear Option. This engine's bone-gnawing 330 hp gives the Grand Cherokee a near 100-hp advantage over the V-8 Ford Explorer's measly 239 hp, and a 40-pony jump over the Chevy TrailBlazer EXT's 290-hp,

Just race one and find out.
I raced a Hemi Ram pickup in my AT non-S TL for lane control since we both had to merge into one lane and I ended up out front by a couple cars.

Guys,
I copied this from Edmunds road test.......that 420 HP Jeep may be heavy but it is a beast! Check it out:
At the track the Grand Cherokee SRT8, which rides on massive 255/45ZR20 front and 285/40ZR20 rear Goodyear Eagle RS-A run-flats, laid down some serious numbers: 5.2 seconds to 60 mph, 13.5 seconds in the quarter-mile. That makes this a 4,800-pound SUV that easily smokes a new Mustang GT, Pontiac GTO and, its most direct competitor, the Chevy TrailBlazer SS. And, you may want to sit down for this if you're a Porschephile, it's even quicker than the $90,000 Porsche Cayenne Turbo (0-60 in 5.9, quarter in 14.3).

^ I think he meant his GN, or a variety of other cars. A BPU MKIV would destroy it, as I've got a friend with only an intercooler and exhaust running 12.0 flat at 120. With a 120 trap he should be in high 11's but hey, it's still quick as hell, even more so for a model year 1993 car.

I've beat the regular Hemi Ram in my TL. One was a woman trying to beat me for the merging lane and I just remembered another time on the way to lunch against a co-worker. Look beyond the "Hemi" designation. The 5.7 Hemi in a 5,500lb truck isn't anything special. If my auto '06 with over 100lbs of subs can beat one, any TL will beat one. I gave up on my GN so I'm in the process of puchasing another mint condition one and transferring my suspension, heads, etc over to it. Then hopefully I'll have some SRT-8, SRT-10 kills or even a couple more Vipers.

That GN is just ridiculous .. must be awesome owning highly respectable cars on the road today

i can certainly vouch for that. Was at a light in the STi, and the jeep pulls up, i say to him, " that shit rips doesn't it, " and he was like its not bad. I was like nice pickup dude.
Light turns green, i hear the most amazing growl from underneath the hood and he was a good half a car length ahead of me. Keep in mind, the STi is AWD, with roughly 315hp and a turbo is losing to this heavy tank. And my turbo lag is awful, so i caught up to him only leaving third gear, but
DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
those things tear shit up for SUV's. By far the best thing that jeep has done since the wrangler back in the 60's or whatever.
