You can do better than that....I paid a little under $48K all in for my '08 TL-S 6MT in February in Ottawa.

And when I mean all in, I mean all taxes, fees, PDI....everything.

im trying to get it in the 40's, but it seems tough.. I think when you bought yours they had some sort of deal right? ...right now the guy is offering me $3k off MSRP but then when he does all the taxes freight pdi and etc, it comes out to $52K

I would wait. That's roughly the price I paid when I bought it in September, right when the 08's rolled out. The 09's are coming out and they should be doing some promotion to get the 08's off the lot.

if the color white is what you want, don't wait and just buy it.
or else somebody will.

we obviously can't compare prices with U.S. models, so I think $3000 off right there is pretty good already.

I was in the market back in June for an 08 TL-S. The average price I was getting was around 49K OTD. (48,600-51K) I ended up gettin an 07TLS for substantially less! If you have the patience, wait around and I'm sure there will be people offloading their 07s and 08s for the 09. If not...snag that WDP!!

Designer to the rescue

That seems too high,
The new 2009's are coming out in a month.
The should be having very good package or promotional deals this month and in Sept.
You should be able to bring that down to 45G's all in if you can pay all at once.
If not, you should be able to bring it down to 49G or so.
Make it clear that you want an Acura, that you want a good deal, and you are prepared to walk out if you dont get it.
The need to get rid of as much of their remaining TL's 2008's as possible.

I'm looking into a TL base line, and if I can get it for 42 all in, then I may as well purchase it.

No...the only deals that they had at the time was 0.9% APR for four years purchase finance and 3 months no payment (they just delayed payment 3months which makes the term 3 months longer....I declined).

I got to $48K without even trying that hard although it helped that I put down a hefty down payment.

Are you looking at an auto? Canadian dealerships charge another $1700 over the MT, even though the MT and AT was supposed to be the same price like in the U.S.

$44 OTD?....good luck!

For importing a car into Canada, check out the RIV website (Registrar of Imported Vehicles)...it will detail the process.

I'm from Montreal and I had spoken to someone who works at an Acura dealership (Acura of Laval). He told me that even though the 09's are coming out. Acura doesn't plan on reducing the price on the TL Type S because they don't have any problems getting rid of them from their lot. They're already in small numbers so they won't drop the price or give much rebates until much later. On the other hand, the regular TL is a different story. They'll drop the price and not charge you extra to put NAVI in there.

Almost Sep 08. 09 TL model is coming out. They're getting pressured to get rid of the 08s. Otherwise they'll lose more money when 09s are set next to 08s. I don't know much about the Canada situation but follow this as a general rule.

I rec'd $7K off MSRP...so it's not impossible.

However, the two dealers in Ottawa-Hull can't keep TL-Ses on the lot now since people who are now in the market now know that a new TL-S is at least 2 or 3 years away. I doubt that they'll be blowing them out just to get rid of them. You'd probably get a much better deal on a base TL or TL with Navi.

I sent you a PM.

Have you tried Acura of Oakville? They are fantastic. I got a smokin' deal on my TL.
