Tl-P Competition

Just cruisin on the street and thought well what would be some competiton for the TL-P? Lincoln LS V6?, 05 Honda Accord? Jaguar X-Type? V6 Mustangs? V6 Camaros? 00 - 02 Maximas? Altimas? What would be some good competiton for it? Those are just some I stated to give a idea, but nothing like civics, sentra, intergra's..

What have you guys delt with in the past?

Oh yeah, the TL-P will smoke a TSX relatively easily.

tsx isn't that fast and has to get its revs pretty high to hit its sweet spot in the power band. tl-p's don't have a boat load of low end torque but more than a tsx and tl-p mid range is very strong and will eat up a tsx, although will not destroy it, will beat it convincingly. now what they should do is put a 3.2L TL engine in the tsx and call it a tsx-s with a 6spd, damn that would be nice!

BTW my 99 tl-p walked a brand new jetta GLI MT today pretty good. from highway 40mph roll. I was in third and I saw the kid downshift(young guy early 20's tops) I slammed it and so did he and I was gone, not even that close. I read in the new C/D that the new GLI's did 0-60 in 6.4 secs, hard to believe for a 197hp 207tq 3300+lb sedan. it was brand new so it wasn't broken in, but still I thought it would put up a little fight. He was hitting it hard too and I saw it start to go, but I floored it and by 90 had 3+CL's on him. VW's suck, but can be turned into monster's if you know they right mods.

not to hijack this thread but I was playing around with a Saab 9-5 aero on the way into work ...not sure if it was the 230hp or newer 250hp but that car is quick when the turbo kicks in. I owned a 99 9-5 4 banger turbo. and the car was at the dealer getting fixed every 3 months. not to mention scary bad turbo lag. got crushed on the resale of that car as well.
anyone race an aero?

Hrm, in a race I'd see them finishing in this order:

1. RSX-S
2. TL-P
3. CLK
4. A6
5. 325i
