Any idea if the 07 Type-S lip spoiler will fit the 04? I would assume so, but I'd rather be certain before spending the cash.

I belive so. I have an 07.. but if your trunk lid is thesame as an 05...then yes

TLS lip wraps around the edge a little and is thicker.

 

+1 and the curvuture is a bit different.

The only disavantage you have CGP is not a type s.. so you will need to get it painted. I seen some on ebay for abou 100

That isnt the one PGG is talking about. PGG is looking at the M3 spoiler which is smaller and uglier *imo*. You have the decklid spoiler from thespoilerstore which is different. It is bigger/thicker than the M3 one and almost as big as the TypeS one.

PGG - Get the decklid spoiler NOT the M3 one!!! It is what I have on mine as well!

 

how about the CF or fiberglass CLS spoiler by ua6spec?

 

Hey thx for the advice/input. I ordered the one I posted tonight. I'll see how it looks if I don't like it I'll try to unload it. It's only $60 bucks (painted/matched) anyways so it's not a lot of money. I emailed the spoiler store they'll charge me an additional $40 bucks to match my paint code (I have an 07 TL Moroccan Red) which they don't stock evidently. I think my color is more rare than most haven't seen too many of them plus they changed the paint for 07 (got rid of Redondo) so a newer paint so I kinda understand.

I'd readlly like to get the S spoiler, looks nice. I'll put some pics up after I get the lip on.

 

lol...I contacted my local dealer to see how much the TL-S lip spoiler would run....

$563.28 with tax and labor. Apparently it takes 1.5 hours labor to install?

I dont' think so............

Any idea what the hardware to mount that TL-S Decklid Lip Spoiler costs and if the even offer a template?

I emailed Tim a several days ago about it, but still have not received a response. Does he usually take his time returning emails? Cuz I'm ready for my TL-S spoiler.

 

I'm just got my TL last week, and I'm pumped! Did you get the spoiler you ordered, and if so how does it look? Let's get some pics!

 

It doesnt bring a template. As far as hardware. The lip comes with 4 bolts and 3 clips. My dealer chargedme 325 to paint and install.. install is only about 99 dollars. they use 2 bolts out of the 4 and 3 clips. It is harder because its doesnt have a template.... but the dealer can do it.

 

it sounds like they had to drill 2 holes for the bolts?

 

He was swamped for a while. You can also call or use AIM to contact to get immediate response.

 

Not sure if this is correct or not but i heard that this lip can be put on the rear window. Anyone know??

 

Actually 5 holes total.... the type s has 7...but he only use 2 of the 4 bolts...

but he needed 3 hole for the clips.
