the TL got in a minor accident today, my brother was driving it cause i needed his jeep for something, and he was making a left turn and someone just decided to pull out into his lane when he was already in it, and fucked my front right quarter panel up, and scratched my door all to hell and the front right wheel is scratched. when he called me to tell me, i was like "please tell me they rear ended it"
he was like "naw they hit the front..."
"are you fucking with me"
"right above the front right wheels"
then i was like shit im comin up there, so i got there and the first thing i looked at was the CF, and it was fine, so that was a bigggggggg relief to me.
but im still soo fuckin pissed

it was not my brothers fault. but how can i get thru this with everything working out in my favor big time? any ideas? i do have pics, but my shit wont send to the internet because its gay. but it is bad enough i believe that i will need a new front right fender and repaint the passenger door.

input is greatly appreciated, i will be calling the insurance place in the morning

 

I hope he got the guy's information. Go through that idiot's insurance... he's at fault if he hit your car.

 

yeah we got all the information, the cop assessed it, and wrote the guy a citation for something, even tho the cop said he can get it passed in court or some bull shit.

 

I got hit on both sides within 2 weeks, both insurance companies admitted their person was at fault, and both people were issuded citations by the cops, but thier insurance said they werent going to pay for it. so my insurance paid for it and is fighting the other insurance companies...my agent told me that majority of insurance companies now a days will admit fault but will not pay. Good luck with everything, im not saying that will happen to you, but that was just my little story of how it was handled when i got hit.

It's always good to see how people do their work.. there are too many shitty jobs done out there to trust just any shop around the corner.

 

Yea, they admitted fault, but apparently they would rather get taken to court and take the chance of not having to pay, compared to forking out the money right away. Doesnt make sense to me, but my insuarnce covered it and my rates arent going to go up, so i got my car fixed, plus some so it doesnt really matter to me.

 

yeah well the cool thing is, my brothers girlfriends dad owns a good body shop around here, so if worse comes to worse, hahaha, damn that sounds mean

 

It's already fixed? PLUS SOME? Maybe that's for collision claims... when I claimed my comp on vandalism, they paid for just the paint job and NOTHING more! I couldn't even get the shop to budge the 500 deductible... says it's illegal =P... afterall, it is DEDUCTIBLE for a reason

 

My insurance company just cut me a check for each wreck and deducted the deductable out of the check. So i basically piad the deductible but it didnt cost me anything...if that makes sense? But still i made about $600 off the deal. It cost 2400 to fix my car on both sides, and both checks combined equaled about $3,000.

 

See, I have Triple A.... they are jerkoffs... We insure 3 cars and our HOUSE with them.. figures they'd be more leneant... I can't spell right now.. to members like us. But they actually came out to check out the car even when the shop I went to was one that works directly with AAA. Assholes IMO

i just talked to a local body shop, and the total damage came out to be around 1700

haha yeah 2 ssm's with CF is rare enough, one fully CF no paint is great and partiatly paitned is great, we are great haha
