Why are ur guys tire pressures so low? Is it better in the winter to have lower psi, i got 33psi all tires? Oh and today the car been outside in -5 and first time i heard a high pitch freq in the radio, but went away in a couple of min? And this is the first time i've seen the rpm so high it was almost at 2k rpm, man its cold outside.

I had 25 psi in all tires when I started up... but got to around 30 psi after being warmed up and rolling down the highway for a few miles.

My TL warms up really fast. I had a Formula Firebird and that thing took forever to warm up. (It did have a 160 degree thermostat)
You have to remember oil is lubrication. Oil, like most other fluids, get thicker when it's colder out. Why do you think there are oil grades? 5W-30... 5W-20..etc etc. Those numbers are how oil is measured. They're measured in viscosity, and if I rememeber correctly, it's long it takes a certain amount of oil to come out of a standardized hole. 5W would mean grade 5 viscosity at 0 degrees F; 20 viscosity is the viscosity of the oil at 214 degrees F, or normal operating temperature. That's an example of 5W-20. I know a lot of people use 5W-30 during the summer, but you have to remember to change back to 20 for the winter. Oil gets thicker during the winter, thus giving more resistance, or less lubrication, for the engine to turn.

The jerky shifting you guys are feeling is just oil being cold and thick. Let the car warm up, and it should operate just normal.

Air doesn't move as much in cold air. Your tire PSI goes down 1 PSI for every 10 degrees decrease and 1 PSI every month. It is NOT better to have lower PSI when it's cold. How does this help in any way? Lower PSI will result in bad gas milage, and the tires will wear on the outer edge. Always go by manufacturer's recommendations. Why would you go against engineers' who spent countless hours designing our hours.

maybe it's the cold affecting your hearing.

Does the temp display actually show minus (i.e. negative) degrees? New York City has not been that cold yet.

lmao.... the block heater does work... but you still have to drive the car around to give it some exercise... if you start it up. otherwise its good
what does that mean? The block heater just allows the engine to startup easier, right? If you want to have any other systems going, you need remote start, right?

This morning it was 5 degrees outside and I noticed the radio channel display was reacting slower than usual. Whenever I changed the channel the display would lag a little bit. I also noticed that the high beam controls were "stickier" and the leather seats were rougher. Cold weather sucks.

correct the block heater keeps the block n oil warm through an external plug from the house. the remote start is just remote starting the car for whatever reasons....

MN, been cold for a while. My sub rattles when it's really cold and I listen to the "traffic tone" on the XM. I just turn off the sub until the car warms up. Also, when it is cold and dark, if the lights come on when I first start it and the brightness is set to the lowest setting (where I keep it), the Climate Control and Radio displays don't come on at all. I have to bump up the brightness to get them to turn on, then they work fine....
