hi i purchased a tl about a month ago,wdp/ebony/5at/navi, i just wanted to know what percent would u guys think look nice on this certain car, with the interior contrast along with exterior. Also a few of my friends said that tints will not look that nice on a white car, so please chime in with your opinions. Also if anyone knows a good tint place around new jersey please let me know.

 

i have the same car wdp with ebony interior and just got my windows tinted yesterday. i got 35% all around it looks really good not too dark but def makes a diffrence.im sure ill take some pics today.

 

I recently got 35% front, 15% rear. I thought it would look too dark, but it looks really good. Obviously it is darker then 35% all around, but I wanted the rear darker.

 

I think a tinted WDP looks great.

My WDP/Parchment has 35% front and back, 20% on the rear. I would have gone darker but tinting the front is illegal in Illinios.

Go for it, you'll like it.

I have done a few 35 front / 20 rear and its good .. even with 35 front if you have to back up much it does reduce vision at nite .. 20 will be worse and might be a problem turning left on intersections at nite in the rain if there is people walking across the intersection. 35 is bad enough in that scenareo. I have WDP and have an appt for 35/20 next week .

 

In my opionion nothing brings out the lines of the tl like wdp, and tinted enhances that linear/angular look of the car. Not only does the WDP look the biggest, the black tint and white pearl contrast is sick. If you have the bumper mismatch, tint will help disquise it because it brings out more white. Remember the darker the better, 20's all around.

 

 

I have a black 05 Tl with black interior. I have the 20% all around which looks kinda dark in the day but at night its really dark. it looks real nice. go with the 20% it dark enough. It will look great

Although I have parchment, the pics below will give you some idea of WDP with Solar Gard NR tints. 35% fronts, 25% rears. Not a huge difference and noticeable only at certain angles. Ebony interior may cause the film to appear darker than parchment.

Thanks! Its in my future plans. Maybe A-Spec front, RJ rear bumper, and find a way to keep the splash guards too. I just have other priorities first.

My gf wanted a darker shade in the rear , but I wanted to be able to see out at night time. 35% in front is semi-safe in CA.

F1 either 35 or 50. Anybody have pics of 50? I'm going for the refined subtle aggressive look. Besides, I dont know about the rest of y'all with 5% tints, but I want the ladies to be able to see me through the tint...not use it as a mirror... plus I dont want people's grimy face and paws all over trying to peek inside.

btw...what color Solar Gard NR tint did you get? I'm getting the Charcoal, and hopefully it matches the interior.

I'm not to sure what color tint I got. I didn't have a choice. But hey, for $160 with moleskin and an awesome job, I'm not complaining. Good luck with your tint! Posts pics once you get it done. I see leedog lurking.
