There has to be someone that got there car tinted in the chicago land area where the guy had done some 3rd gen tL. I havent been able to find someone who was familiar with the whole moleskin thing? Do we def need it for a 07 TLS..

Any help would be much appreciated.

I know some members that have tints on there car, but I dont know if they did the hole moleskin thing. I dont have tints on my car so I cant really help you. There is this one place that you can try, it is called "Xtreme" or something like that. It is located on Lake Street and comes after Gary ave. I think the town is Carol Stream

 

there's one in kenosha that gave me a quote. haven't gotten around to doing it yet though. also don't know what they do with moleskins or w/e.

 

I'm looking for a good recommendation too. Any thoughts for the Chicagoland area that guarantees their work and installs moleskins. I've heard of people that haven't installed moleskins...are they really necessary?

 

They are kind of necessary if you want to keep your tints from scratching.
There is a place called IL style Audio in Arlington heights, it's in your navi I think, that does a pretty good job for $200.00. I havn't got it done, but I know somebody with an altima who got his tints done there, so you can give it a try, but it's not gauranteed satisfaction. BTW, if you guys know where to get Electric Blue Tints, hit me up. I am looking to get blue tints for my '06 WDP TL.

This thread for Chicago tinters keep coming up! I posted this same thread 6 months ago. Why is it so hard to find good guys around with the demand so high?

I haven't personally found a place as I might be moving back to NY soon and a lifetime warranty over here won't help me. I will still curious to check it out for the hell of it. At the last meet last month in Chicago I asked around and 2 of the members had really nice tintjobs and highly recommended a place called "Midco" It's on 86th and Cicero. I haven't been there yet but it's just my

BTW there was a recent post on one of these thread of a WDP with electric blue tints and the guy is from Chicagoland I believe, just do a search. Also, I have bought the moleskin seperately in a groupbuy and I think it is a MUST. Why take a chance/have hassles? Have your tinter put it on. Most tintshops are going to overcharge you for them, I got em for like $30 awhile back.

 

35% all the way around. This shop uses madico film. this shop wont do the moleskins, so i did it myself
