Tinting Recommendation in So Cal?
Tinting Recommendation in So Cal?
I was wondering if anyone living in OC can recommend a good tint place, and does the felt and back 'pain in the butt' windows at a reasonable price. Thanks! This is my first post!

First off, welcome & tell us about your car!
The felt or moleskin is for all four doors, not just the rear. I'm not in SoCal but just went through the same thing here. I ended up getting 3M film 20% rear doors and back window, 35% front doors. The tint installed was $190 and $80 to have the moleskin installed = $270 total. My ABP looks great. Whatever film you go with make sure that it is non-metallic which may interfere with yourr XM, cell phone and navi.

If you want pinnacle ceramic film it is available from Astro Eclipse in Placentia for $375.00 including mole skins.
Both of these films will not turn purple or interfere with your GPS if you have one.

On your windows there is this strip of rubber at the bottom of the window. When your windows get tinted, this strip of rubber can scratch the tint. What the moleskin does is that it replaces the rubber strip on the bottom of the window with this strip of felt, which prevents the tint from getting scratched.

Some have passed on having it installed and had no problems, others have had their film scratched.
