What are everyone's thoughts on tinting only the rear window and leaving the rest clear? I have a WDP and am thinking about just tinting the rear window so I have one less thing to worry about near the Po Po's.

Anyone has some pix they can post? Or has anyone seen TLs like that?

 

i really dislike the look, but you will have less popo's to worry about.

 

did you mean just the rear window? or rear windows? thats how my car is, i have the rear windshield and my back windows tinted. the tint is 5% and the rest of my car is clear. i've been really meaning to tint my fronts maybe a 15 or 20 percent. i dont think TLs generally have to worry about police on their tint unless its really dark like 5percent all around.. i'd say that TLs dont generally draw cops as opposed a STI EVO or Mustang

 

I don't think it will look good at all! Too much of a contrast. Try 35% all around (hardly noticable really.) you should get away with that. Otherwise I wouldn't tint it at all.

 

very true.. sometimes when i look at my car starting from the back, i think to myself wow my tint looks really good.. and then bam its see through haha. even 20 is good i think. since im assuming your wdp has tan interior, 20 on tan will be like 35 on black.

 

i dont see a problem with just tinting the rear window. i think it looks funny when just the back three windows are tinted and not the front ones. id rather have only the rear window tinted.

 

sorry guys...i meant to say tint the rear windshield only. i figure since its a WDP and inside is all black, just putting like a 5% on the rear windshield should look ok. i personally don't like tinting just the rear sides and leaving the front sides clear look. also, i haven't seen anyone with just the rear windshield tinted super dark, so it might stand out :/

 

my preference would be to not tint anything at all if I wasn't going to do the whole car. Here in florida we don't have to worry about tint levels. The cops know it's too damn bright not to tint.

PS. White on black was my dream color, but hard to find. I settled with black on black because I found a good deal on it. So, props.

 

so far i haven't seen any cars with only the back windshield tinted ... it definitely looks weird to me as I am used to tinting all the windows ...

now I have 5% on the back windshield and back windows and 35% on front ... blk on blk, so this 35% looks darker than it is ...

 

I think it would look gay and everyone would laugh at you.
