Yes 35% all around. Great to reduce glare on the navi and keep nosey people from looking in, although they still do.

The rear cut around brake light is very important. The shop :rocketwho I used for the MDX (and not using for the TL) put tint over the brake light. You can still see the brake light but it reflects in as well. Took awhile to get use to.

Yes. 35%, side windows and rear. Makes a big difference in the South Florida sun. Also, the extra privacy is nice.

Absolutely - 40% all around. You MUST cut around the center stop light, or the tint cuts out most of the light, hurting safety.

1. It makes the car look MUCH better, as it allows the full shape of the car to be seen. When the windows are un-tinted, the gaps take away from the shape of the car.

Notice that in the car makers' ads, the cars are almost ALWAYS tinted!

2. It keep the car cooler and prevents sun damage to the interior.

3. It allows a little more privacy. Now, when driving a non-tinted car, I feel like I'm in a fishbowl!

When in NBP, tint is a must. Can't be dark, sexy, and mysterious without it. Plus, when stepping out (of car) at night... the impression you make is more substantial. People are just naturally curious to see who is driving.

First impressions are always... well, you know.

It's money, it's all money baby!

As far as fish bowls? Yeah, I own fish bowls not live in them.

I'd like to get my windows tinted but don't want to get pulled over and required to remove it by the local or state cops.
Just looked at the state law and it says that at least 70% of outside light must be able to be transmitted into the cabin.
So does that mean in California you can have 30% tint or what is allowed? Anyone?
Thanks

Percent tint is almost always expressed in percent of light transmission. So the 70% law is referring to 70% tint. If that's the way the law actually reads, it is vague because who says which windows have to be letting that 70% of light in the cabin? Most of those who live in CA have reported that tinting the front windows is a no-no. According to this link it is 70% transmission in the front windows and any tint on the others.

Do you actually have Limo on yours? How do you get by with that where you are? I reside out of Texas too and I know the tint law changed to 25%, but Limo?

50% on the front windows, 35% on the rest. I really wanted to go 35% all the way around but was worried I might get pulled over. I had 50% all the way around on my last car (Volvo S-80 T6) and never had a problem.

You probably can. I lived in Corpus Christi for 4 years and had limo on my truck and it was never an issue. I talked to a cop about it once and he said they won't pull you over for it, but if you get pulled over for something else they would make you rip it out.

:chainsaw:

If I knew how to post a picture, I would since I doubt you can really tell the tints are different. It is VERY subtle....

Has anyone had problems with tinting and navi system? We're going to put 35%, but we're not sure about the back window. You have to use the dyed tint right? Instead of the ones with metal in it? The tinting company said that the dyed tint will start to bubble in hot conditions within 4-5 years.
