Thinking about tinting my tails, but not sure what is the best way to go about. also I dont know what it would look like because i've never seen it on a red tl....any info or pics???

 

Rockblocker you wont regert it. I belive they are on special now.

You can do it yourself for alot less money than rockblocker. There are products like 3m scotch-cal that are translucent films for the outdoor signage business. you can get in tons of colors if you wanna go ricer, or several different gray scale tints. For about $8 at any commercial signage supply house you should be able to get enough to do your tails and side markers. I will see if I have any pics of mine to post once i get home.

 

Got my kit off ebay - basically pre-cut thick film that you install with water and a small squeegee (was included in the kit) - $25 incl. shipping. How can you go wrong?

 

Thats my RRP with the signage film applied to the tails and side markers. It is an outdoor adhesive backed product that you do not float on. simply squeege down then trim off, sidemarkers you remove and wrap.

Yes it is illegal in MD, I am in Severn to be exact... I have had mine done for a while now and no problems. I drive by a County Police Station on a daily basis and have had no problems....

I don't think I've ever heard about people having problems with them. They might not be legal, but as long as the light output is still good and everything, I don't see anyone messing with you about them.
