Tint Tomorrow
Not having a current NC State inspection can be a costly experience (don't ask how I know
).20% looks GREAT though.

Dam... 5's? I got 15's and I gotta roll my windows down when I'm backing out of my dark driveway sometimes and also when making turns. To the OP, what is the color of your interior? If you have black interior, 20's will be perfect, but if you have parchment or camel interior, then you might not be happy. This is why I went with 15% all around with 40% on my windshield and it still looks lighter than some of the TL's with 20% at the meets. Amazing how the color of the interior affects the outcome.

Great first mod. Tint is the first thing I've done to every car I've owned, definately sets it off. My TL I did 35/20 w/black on black it looks great. My other car has 5% all around and you cant even see my ass sitting in it lol.

I've got 5% all around, and I got my first goddamn ticket on Friday. But luckily for me, the idiot cop only gave me one ticket for my front driver's side window, and most importantly, he didn't check my BAL. *wipes forehead
I went 35 on mine. Good luck passing. Alot of stations check the tint. Its usually +/- 2%. Then there are others that won't check it. I'm in NC and they are cracking down on everything around here. BTW, 35 is as dark as the law allows here.

I have 20% on my NBP TL and I've only gotten pulled over once. If you get pulled over, you can contest the ticket if you provide proof of the tint being removed/changed out to something lighter. They usually only look at the front windows, so as long as you're not passing cops around the end of the month, you should be ok
Looks good man, think you could get some other shots like closer up. Im wondering how your camel interior looks with 30%. I have camel too and looking to see some examples of tint levels on cars with my interior for when I finally tint. Went to get it done months ago but told him never mind, long story its on here somewhere, anyway if you could throw some up that would be great.
i notice some swirl marks in your paint(spider webbing)......you need to get a machine polish on that car, and it will really make that blue flake in the nbp paint pop....

My 07 Type S already had tint when I bought it a month ago. I think it is 35% all around. I have WDP with taupe. I was thinking of making the rear window darker (down to about 20%). Is it recommended that you remove the current tint and just put on 20% or is it okay to add say a layer of 50% or 35% over the already 35%. What will the net result be if I just added another layer of tint if this is okay to do. I don't want to do the side windows any darker since VA require 35% on the rear windows but only 50% on the front driver and passenger. however I have had 35% all around for 6 year now with no problems. thanks
