Any metallic film such as hybrid tint will affect radio frequencies, as well as gps, key fobs, etc.. Ceramic and higher end tints won't.

metallic tint can interfere with electronics. some hybrids will NOT interfere with the electronics. i have madico charcool tint in my cars. NO ISSUES and WILL NOT interfere with electronics. if you go to the manufacturer's website and do your homework on the tint you are considering to have installed you can find this information out.

ceramic tint is $$$$$. if you live in a high sun and heat area of the world, then it would be a great thing to have. NO tint installer in my area pushed ceramic tint on me when i was shopping around. they actually recommended the mid-level tint. none of them install the cheap dyed tint that purples with time.

anyone who is considering tint, call the installers, find out the products and prices, then go research the tint itself. read over reviews of people who have it installed in their cars (not just here but on other sites) and then decide what is best FOR YOU. everyone will come on here and tout that the tint they have is the best or that the latest and greatest big shot name brand is the best. BUT what are your needs for the tint???

doesnt get any hotter than Texas. considering last summer the whole damn state was literally on fire. best parking spots here are not in relation to the front door, but to where the shade is.
