20% usually looks good and it's not too dark at night. What color is your interior? If it's not black, then the tint will looks lighter than it is.
And get the same % all away around..... Seriously.

I'll second what HealingDuck said, get the same all around, I currently have 35% but when I get them redone I'm thinking of going with 20%
And, make sure you get the moleskin

I have 25% Llumar tints wrapped around the rear doors and rear glass and 30% on the front windows. I personally wouldn't go more than 20% tints because you might run into to some problems with the cops (depends on state laws) and it might make seeing at night more difficult.

OP- you're in cali....70% is legal for the front (factory) and anything goes for the back. if you wanna keep the CHP and local PD off your back do 35% all around. if you go darker in the the front....tix and harrassment. not to say that 35% won't draw attention from them, but it's at least light enough to see shadows, but dark enough for privacy. i also hear they aren't very nice in the bay area. it's your car, do whatever you want.

I went 5% all around and tint is illegal on the front windows here in jersey. It's a little tough backing up at night, but I put brighter LED's in the reverse lights and just roll down the windows to see better, no big deal. 20% would probably look really nice as well. I just like mine on the darker side.

5% all the way, I have 35% currently because I bought the car that way if the tint is peal off then I would do 5%. I hate how people stare at you/inside your car when you stop at the light.

As dark as your state laws allow.

Both of mine have/had 20% high grade ceramic all around. My 6MT TL-S w/ two-tone interior.
My Base 6MT before I sold it (Ebony interior)
P.s.- I had my base when I lived in San Jose, CA and never got pulled, once.

i have 35% tints on the front and havent gotten any problems with cops here in socal.
Not sure how bright the interior is with the two tone type s, but the darker the interior, the darker a 35% tint will appear vs. a light interior.
With my camel interior 35% is lighter than someone with an ebony interior. And then my rears were done by the previous owner and are super dark...tint guy said it was limo which I'm guessing is around 10-20%.

i have an 08 type s wdp with ebony interior, i have 20% rear and 50% front.
being in cali also i would highly suggest no more than 50 in the front if you have a dark interior and no more than 35 for front if light interior. i have had cops pull me over and check my tint, 50 was light enough to let me go without a ticket. however, i have even gotten fix it tickets while my car is parked since the sunshade plus dark interior makes my 50% seem really dark during the day.
if you want to see pics just go to my profile. whatever you get, get moleskin though

Thanks, I couldn't remember exactly. If you live in dark area (no street lights) then I would advise against this. The S10 was easy to see out of because the window is right behind me and I could see the end of the truck. The TL would make seeing a bit more difficult.

Nah, I'm in Greenville, SC. My buddy has 5% on his Ridgeline going on 2 years now. He has had good luck, plus I have driven his truck countless times, I'm fully aware of the repercussions of going so dark. Nothing like a little road knowledge during mid day traffic and no one can see what's going on
As far as what I have heard, it's a $250 fix-it ticket.

ah alrighty then lol I guess I got 5% in the back. It's super dark lol like you can mayybe make out a silhouette inside if you look directly across to the other window during the day. At night, good luck it's solid black lol.
i feel like a limo driver when i drive my friends around sometimes lol. But hey, it keeps my rear interior in great condition.
OP should totally go 5% in the back lol:
another angle, note how dark it makes the 35% look at this angle:

Hell yeah SC peeps!!! You can get away with anything in SC cause of the no inspection... I used to have 15% all around and 35% on the windshield of my blacked out truck- never had any problems, even when I got pulled over for other reasons... Since our cars are luxury, I wouldnt go with too dark, just so it looks more factory. I didnt like the 35% on mine when I bought it, but now I like it and Im getting 50% on the windshield soon just to help keep the dash from cracking... I think 20-35% would look good on a WDP car, and consider getting light blue 50 or 60% on the windshield too. Dont cheap out on the tint either, get some high quality ceramic stuff that blocks UV and IR rays

In Illinois 35% is now legal on the front windows. I had 35% on a WDP TL with tan leather and iI liked it. When I put the same tint on another TL I had, it had black leather which made the tint look darker.
I would love 20% all around, but I dont want tiickets.
So 35% all around LEGALLY IS AWESOME

Check your state tinting laws here: http://www.autowindowtinting.com/ind...splay&pageID=5
If there is an exemption for medical reasons I suggest you get it. That would have saved me a couple hundred dollars.
