hey everbody!!!!

i'm planning to put a metallic tint on my 2005 TL with navi but others say that it will incur problem on the navigation. Please advise!!! thanx.

 

It is safer to go with a ceramic tint if you have navigation. You heard correctly, metallic tint has the "potential" to screw with your navigation.

 

Welcome to the forums, and they are correct - metallic will screw with your navi. You should also look around to the window tint scratching problem on the TL. Check the 3G garage or search for "moleskin"

 

how about putting non metallic on the rear window and metallic on all 4 side windows?????

 

Thats fine if you can find a tint that you're happy with the color match between the metallic and non-metallic..

 

i have metallic on the sides and non-metallic on the rear...works perfect...no change at all. Works perfect and looks good!

 

What non-metallic and metallic did you go with? I'd like to see pics.

Do a SEARCH... There are atleast a 100 Threads on this issue posted on the forum...

not to pinpoint you in any way chris, you are excluded (I see you are new to the Forum) this is just a general suggestion....Mods we need to force people to do a SEARCH before putting a new thread...Tints/Moleskin and Rattles are the most repetitive items I see on the forum and they are all the SAME.

Oh BTW I have a combination of the Metallic/Dye tint from Formula One (not the all metallic) and I have NO ISSUES with the Navi....
