I called local acura dealership for a price on timing belt and water pump and tension belts all parts and labor for 800. Plus they'll give loaner car. Is that avarage price?

 

what about spark plugs?

 

That's not in the package. I will do the spark plugs on my own.

 

Is it something you'd feel comfortable doing yourself?

 

That's an average price for an Acura dealer. It's a very good price if it includes a valve adjustment.

 

+1 on decent price. Its 1350 here in Kansas city.

 

No way man. I would feel more comfortable if I had more tools on hand..

 

That's a pretty good price. In some areas I've seen it go as high as $1200. Check with Honda and see how much they would charge you. They usually go a bit lower.

 

If you haven't already purchased the spark plugs try Advance Auto Parts. They have a sale going on right now, you can get 6 for $50.95 and there OEM (NGK Laser Iridium), part number 6994. It's definitely better than paying $13.75 a piece at the dealership.
