Stay with TL longer until new model or what? When should we expect changes for TL? 2007?
I like Acura TL but there is plenty of new models around. Here is some I like.
BMW 3
Toyota Avalon
Subaru Legacy
VW Passat 2006 (280hp!!!)
etc.
Sure TL still hot but for how long? I guess time for Acura to add some horses!!!!

If you want a coupe, the G35 is the first to come to mind. Maybe the new Mustang, GTO, and the Corvette of course.

Why would you think the design was horrible inside & out? I was complimented on that car as much as the TL (wll...almost) For the money (25K), it was a lot of fun to drive. (and cool blue dash lights too!)
As I said car is OK and I still own one but no comparison to TL.

RL? Price scared me out of this car.
So question is when should we expect new/upgraded TL? 2007?

Leasing is the MOST expensive way to own a car.
I have had almost all of my cars until 100,000 miles and they do not get that much worse as they age... I know of some people who have Hondas wiith 170,000 plus and they do not have that many repairs.
But, to your post, car buying is a emotional experience for a lot of people and they will not agree with what I say even though it is correct.. and as I say to each his own.
And congrats on the early retirement... it is an accomplishment that very very few will be able to do..

LOL. No, my analysis isn't wrong. It just may be wrong for you. And given that you keep cars for 100,000 miles, I can perhaps see why you say that.
But if you trade at the end of the lease term, it's not the "most expensive way" at all. Any financial planner can show you where buying is more costly, esoecially in terms of cashflow and lost opportunity costs.
But we're getting a little far afield of the intent of this post, so it's not appropriate to fire up the old, tired "leasing v. buying" debate here.

HMMMM.... You are never owning on a lease, just renting...

Wether you rent or buy if you didn't give the last dollar to the financial institution it's them that are the owner.
renting is a different way of financing
I always rent the cars, keep them 2 years snd 50 000 miles, and i could write off a good part for my taxes.
The best way is too keep the car until it's completly dead, but not a lot of people would like to do that.

If you want to have new cars all the time... lease... if you want to have cars and hold on to them .. buy... but over a 20 year period the one who buys and hold has more cash, but have had fewer cars... a tradeoff.

(What a scary thought, not to have new cars all the time ... )
