Question Fair Used TL Price

What is a fair selling price for a certified 05 tl 6sp with nav with 10k on it? Want to make sure I'm getting a good price from a dealer. Thanks for the response, hopefully I will be a TL owner soon!

I paid $29,800 for my 04 AT last year with 8K on it. I picked it up at carmax.

Fair who cares about fair...

You want the lowest price you can get. I would want at least 5k off original sticker. if you bought it new it drops that much right after you register it...

I'd say $30k or less. If they want much more than that just buy a new one, you can get new for around $33k

The key thing here is that "used car, good price, and dealership" hardly ever go together...
I myself wouldn't pay more than $31,000 for a used 2005 with 10K miles - and it would need be prestien.... If you shop around you "should" be able to find a brand new 2005 for 32,500 maybe less....

The dealership may call it "certified" but their may be a "bad" reason why it's on the used car lot.....

"One mans trade-in becomes another mans nightmare"

Not trying to say all used cars/prices are bad, just go in with your eyes open and mind keenly focused on getting the right price/deal.. Not just getting the car you want at a monthly payment within budget...

Sorry, but I despise car dealerships and approach them and treat them appropriately.. Never, never assume they are thinking of your interests...

no more than 32K. Anymore that that then you can almost get a new one for around the same price. I've seen people on here getting excellent deals on Navi TLs for a little over invoice.

I took my TL 6sp Navi in for apprasial at CarMax back in March and at the time had 4000 miles on it. They offered me $28,000. I didn't take it of course I just was curious. Had I sold it to them, they would have turned right back around and sold it for $32K - $33K. So like I said NO MORE than 32K, if that much.

with you there. I had ONE bad experience with a used car, and will probably never get another one unless its a STEAL. Car dealers are only about making money at the expense of the customer. There are some good apples out there, but for the most part you have to stay on your toes or you will get duped.

and keep in mind that certified at 10K does not mean they checked anything over other than detailed the car and changed the oil. If the car is 33,500 new then the car is not worth more than 28,000 and change. At 31,500 it is not worth it!! One of the previous posters said he was offered 28000 for one that had 4000 miles on it.

Play the game, but if you want it that bad I would get brand new and not some potential problem car someone traded in. So stress that fact that buying a slighly used car can be a problem for the long haul and so nto believe the hype that you get a deal since you save 2000 over a new one. BS..

That 05 is a year old as well it is no longer May, the 06s are around the corner if not already something that you can order.

You're not getting a new 6 spd, navi for 33k. You have to remember TAXES.

yeah, but you have to pay taxes on the used car, as well. Either way, you are paying the price, plus tax, title, license and any other misc fees they require.
