Threads not being updated as read?
Just noticed this today and was wondering if anyone else is seeing the same thing. Normally, the left hand column of the list of topics shows which threads you have not caught up with yet. When you go and read a thread, and refresh your display, the envelope switches to indicate that you have caught up on all the appends to it. Today, it seems to have stopped doing that. The threads all appear as having not been read, even when I go in and read it, back up and refresh.
Anyone else seeing this all of a sudden? I haven't changed any browser settings on my end.

I have problems where the pages listed next to a thread title aren't actually ALL of the threads. So for example, if a thread is 4 pages long, the title will show 1 2 3, making it seem like it's only a 3 page thread.

Another observation on this....the sticky threads do appear to be getting marked as updated correctly, but none of the other non-sticky threads are. Single page or multi page threads don't seem to make any difference.

no posts have been deleted...and the threads are updating fine for me, try clearing your browser cache and see if that helps...

Nope...that didn't help. This is something new that has only started happening in the past few days. I can't speak to the missing posts as I haven't experienced that myself, but the envelope stuff indicating which threads you're caught up on is definitely not updating properly.

Bump....
Is anyone looking into this further? It's really difficult keeping up with the forum all of a sudden now that this has started happening. I can't tell which threads I'm caught up on already each time I revisit, so I wind up looking at the same threads over and over again only to find out in a lot of cases that I've already read everything said so far.

I've taken my case for this issue over to the Techinical Issues forum for the site, where I hope it will get more attention.
Lore, you might want to post your problem over there. That's what that forum is for and it will probably get more visibility with the admins if asked about there.
