Those with Air Compressors

Anyone that does at home fill-ups must get this. I used it this evening and it’s a great addition to the garage. Some very nice touches like one handed operation with locking mechanism to the valve, long leader hose and well padded cushion around the dial. Now I’m finally confident I’m at my desired pressure consistently.

No affiliation with them other than a happy customer!

This picture does not give it justice. It’s a very well built tool built in Italy.

I find that any readout other than digital is usually way off base.

I bought this one and its exact to 1/2 psi. Nice case too.

I can attest the above Griots version is extremely accurate. I use it with my track car and it is very easy to use and is great for dropping pressure as well, which is more useful at the track than with a road car.

Everything I have ever bought from Griots (though pricey) has been high quality.

I carry an el-cheapo air compressor with an attached analog meter that I bought at Murray's in the car at all times. Around here, most of the gas stations' air compressors are broken, so I need an emergency measure. I've only had to use it on the wife's car so far, and it's reasonably accurate, though not perfect.

My daily driver has a compressor in it too, although it was put there by the manufacturer because the exhaust took up the spare space and run flats didn't fit their requirements. So instead of a spare I get a compressor and a can of fix-a-flat along with a tire size that you will be lucky to find in a major metro area much less in the middle of no where (where all flats occur). Ahhh compromise.
