Thumbs up Third Gen/ TL needs subcategories

As there are more and more third gen tl owners, the board gets more and more crowded with the same posts...
so here are a few sugestions:::

detaling

engine mods

newb

problems

a faq section

etc...

and make the other catagories we have now (tires & whees, audio) 3rd gen specific.....

anyone else??? :-)

He can't give a real reply. There is already a FAQ section, and no engine mods available...as for the other catagories, there aren't enough posts to justify it. Separating my generation, then separate forums for stuff like wheels is enough.

yes there is a faq section but it deals with the functions of the site not anything to do with the cars.
there a few bolt on mods and im sure more to come (i was just giving examples).
and the activity has grown a lot every month-and i'm sure it will continue to grow tremendously--

If it gets to be an issue where threads drop off within a day, then there may be a need for it...but right now having most everything in one place, plus the search feature is more convenient for most.

The only separate category should be the troll category where non owner dissers can go opinionate why their car is superior to the TL!

I think subcats would be good, but I think the subcats should be:

NAVI
HandsFreeLink
Audio
Tires & Wheels

The 3rd gen TL I think needs these distinct cats because the current cats aren't "compatible" with all the new hardware that comes with the TL. For instance, the 3-5 posts in the current "Audio and Electronics" cat are lost forever because no one from 3rd gen who goes there would really find anything but 1-2gen info.

i started it because i see the same new threads started everyday...
and since they are upgrading this site i figured i'd throw out a suggestion...
i think subcatagories for gen specific models would be a good idea....
and so would a faq that addresses common questions...

i think the reason people don't post in the specific forums on this site is because they are all on the main forums page....
not in a third gen specific subcatagory

i don't thin kwe need seperate catergories in the forums. i think people need to remember to do a search before they start a new thread.

I think the only new forum we really need is a FAQ, which would contain what is in the stickies at the top of the page, and a basic FAQ on the features of the car itself.
