Think this will be totaled?
Lost control when crossing one of those small highway bridges and ended up going down the side of the highway and hitting some trees. I'm real thankful I didn't roll the car or wrap around a tree with the driver side door.
Anyways, what do you think? Totaled? The rear right tire is definitely crooked so something broke. Left front fender is beat up pretty bad too.

The unibody is twisted. Rear end is pushed in the door. It ain't pretty, but not positive on totaled. How many miles and what year?

Tough to be positive only seeing the one side, but 6 years old and 100k she probably is. Sorry man, glad you weren't hurt.

damn sorry to hear that. I would think it would be... i had front end damage on my g35 coupe it was an 06 with 25k miles and they totaled it.... all that was wrong was hood, headlight radiators and grills, fender and fans... idk what they were thinking

Eluzion, that's a tough call. i'm not an insurance estimator, nor do I play one on TV. But a lot of the time, if your radiator is still in tact, you're OK. But if the rear end is really mangled, you might be looking for a new car.

Yeah, I'm thinking it will be totaled. The left side is fine except for the front fender but that rear right side really took a beating. If they try to fix it, it's not going to be the same... Really bad timing too - I was right in the middle of a PCS (changing bases).
If they decide to total it, might move onto something else. Not a fan of the new TLs and I really want to buy a car new.

kinda the same damage, but without the front fender damage either, and he is real close to being totaled (let alone, you went for a little 4x4 adventure, so who knows what type of undercarriage damage has been done)

The photo didnt show up for me... But only your insurance company will be able to tell you if its totaled for sure, not people that are only looking at a picture and guessing.
If you wanted to know for sure get an estimate, run the NADA value of your car, then take 20% off the value for whats called salvage value. This is the number that the estimate can not exceed. if it is over this number you have a total loss!

Keep us posted on the feedback from your insurance? How fast were you going over the bridge and were the road and environment conditions at the time of the accident?

It had snowed the night before but the road conditions were pretty much clear but still wet. I had crossed probably 6-9 of those small freeway bridges and didn't think anything of it. I was going 65 when I crossed the small freeway bridge where I lost control. As soon as I hit the bridge, the car lost control and started spinning right. At first I thought maybe it would just stop on the road and I could continue on my way but unfortunately it went off the side of the road and down the side of the freeway (a fairly good size slope down) and slammed into some trees. I was real lucky the car didn't roll. I don't think the bridge was frozen, but it had a very thin layer of slush/melted snow and the car basically hydroplaned. Looking at my rear tires, they look fairly worn on the insides so I'm sure that didn't help either. The front tires are fairly new (maybe 6-7k miles on them) and still have plenty of tread life.

Glad you're ok
. Poor TL
.
A big chance that it'll be totaled. You may get ready to see and choose a new car.

But in all seriousness, it's good to hear you got out okay. Fixing the rear end is going to be a bit of work, at least 5K in my opinion with the suspension damage to the rear. The same goes with the damage to the front end, at least 1K and more if the headlight is damaged.
I'd say that it's totaled but it depends on your insurance company. Some companies do 50% of value, others do 75% and some may go as far as 90%.

That damage is really not that bad (by the pictures you uploaded). I have seen alot worse, You would be suprised to see what a frame rack can do to pull that quarter, floor est back. I would hope for your sake its a total but its a numbers game! Good luck!

Yeah, I'm hoping it is totaled (as bad as it sounds) because even if they can repair it, I doubt it will ever be the same. It sucks I still owe about as much as the car is worth so I'd pretty much be breaking even.
If it is totaled, I think I'm going with the 2011 IS350. Love the TL but not a fan of the newer ones.

The 6AT is almost as efficient as the 6MT since the gr's are pretty close, in fact the track times are nearly identical. Besides.. it really doesn't matter if you have a MT if you get passed by an AT Civic Si.
