Telescoping question

This is my first post here. I have been reading and reading and reading and can't seem to find the answer to the question that I know someone out there knows the answer too.
My question is, is the telescoping steering wheel automatic? In other words, will it go into position for each driver automatically when unlock is pressed on the FOB, like the seat and mirrors do? When I sold my 98 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC, the driver seat, mirror and steering wheel position recall is the thing that I have missed the most.

Also, one more I just thought of. Something else I miss. Does/will the 04 TL have auto on headlights when the the wiper blades are turned on, or does it have daytime running lights? I always forget to turn mine on now and it's law in NC. Something else I miss about the Lincoln.

Btw, I am LOVING the interior of the new TL.

Unfortunately its a manual telescope wheel, it isn't automatic like the past RL's..

It has Daytime running lights I believe (Dont Take my word on that)

telescoping wheel

I have a 2001 CL-S and my wife has an 2001 MDX and I’d have to admit that the telescoping wheel would be an added benefit to both. We are both short and don’t like to sit close to the dash. I’d gladly pay for it if it were an option. They have it for the RL, so it couldn't be that expensive or troublesome to add to the MDX at least.

The techonology is too new.

Even the old Legend had it.

Very weak, IMO.

Hey I just had a thought, if the A-Spec gets a special steering wheel, is it possible that it could be Power Telescope..

One, I have the alternate, plood steering wheel for my 03 TLS-Navi and generally the outer frame on the wheel is replaced and the center carries forward.

As for the A-Spec, it makes no sense to add a power adjustable steering column as part of a performance package.
