Take it or Leave it?!

Hey folks! the dream car that ive been looking at finally came down in price after President's weekend from 25K to 20,994...and its from a Acura dealer. If anyone is reading this from MA its from Acura of Boston. heres the link from autotrader

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=c&car_id=256789492&dealer_id=82428&mode l=TL_MODELSCLASS_SERIES&style_flag=1&start_year=20 05&search_type=both&distance=25&end_year=2008&defa ult_sort=priceDESC&address=02170&seller_type=b&mak e=ACURA i

i have seen the car in person a couple of weeks ago when it was reduced down to 22K, there are some scratches like on the front rims and on the driverside mirror, everything else seems fine but the sales dude that i talked to said that the dealer cant do any less for the car since its below cost or w/e and the stimulas plan does apply according to the dealer. if you guys had the chance before u bought ur TL, would you take it for the price? and what other things should i ask from the dealer as extras or part of the deal?

P.S its gonna be my first car, moving from parents 2000 Altima, and not really sure if i can get finance on it cause i might have to sign it alone? Azn parents are cheap and harsh lol.. creditscore is 724 last i check

THanks guys...

I would go for it if I were you. Very low miles so you shouldn't have an ounce of trouble out of it. Make sure you do all the normal used car checks - carfax, mechanic, etc.

Seems pretty fair for such low miles and Navi. Interior looks clean and its a CPO.

With your credit score and nothing down, you're looking at about $425-450/month with a 5% interest rate.

for every 5k you put down, the payment will go down around $100.

Trew is right... every $1000 in principle roughly equals $20 per month payment... as far as the financing you wont have a problem, trust me the dealer will do whatever they need to do in order to get you approved... They have access to 10-15 banks that they use other than Honda Finance, so the question isnt if they can get you approved, but what will the rate be and can they get you to around your desired payment.

Good deal if you deal with looking at the color/interior for years to come. I personally would wait cuz it seems like you're gonna be stretching financially... You can get one for like 18k or even 17k with decent miles. I'm from Boston, too. These cars are pretty much VERY reliable and therfore you can get an older/higher mileage car without worrying too much

I say buy it! If you have never had an auto loan you might need a co-signer though cause you looking at a $20k+ car. Who knows, depending on your income you might be able to do it. Good Luck.

That's hilarious... dude must be trying to just keep the boss happy by selling a car if he's gonna give you part of his commission..... Although I doubt you'll see the 137, which isn't much when your paying 20k, since he doesn't HAVE to do it after you sign and drive away. Unless the contract says, oh, and I promise to pay customer 137 later this month

LOL. You're not falling for this...are you? Make sure you get a very good rate or walk away. Prices of used cars are sinking like cement blocks in the Hudson. Do the usual carfax, mechanic check and so forth.

And good luck.

Prices are soft these days....I got my 2006 TL for $18,000 and it was a Acura certified car.

FYI, Acura has 3.9% financing on certified TL's for good credit applicants.

You could def. go lower in price. I would recommend you to just wait and look around more. Go to dealerships and small dealerships to look for one (as long as not salvaged and warranty is still good through Acura...). You should be able to get a 06 TL with NAVI for 17-21k depending on mileage. Anyways...

WDP are so ugly without the A SPEC kit.

Also you should also check in the Black Market section if anyone is selling one close to you at a good price hopefully.

Check that one, looks good just missing a a spec body kit. I dunno how far Boston and NJ are (terrible in geography lol and lazy to look up) but it shouldn't be that far to save a couple grand and get free ups.
