Has any 3rd gen 5at TLs switched the upshift and downshift positions? I recall seeing a thread on the 2nd gen TL and I'm wondering if it's the same process (cut and reconnect 2 wires) and if so, which wires are they?

 

^ I remember seeing a DIY thread on this where they reversed the + - signs as well on the shifter gate. It was a long time ago. search perhaps

 

+1 I also recall that thread, but I also remember it being a little vague in instructions. Could someone remake a more step to step DIY?

 

Yes pls, someone has to have done a DIY on this. I always find myself trying downshift the wrong way when overtaking on the fwy.

 

I didn't even know that this DIY was possible. Things would make a lot more sense if it just came like this (up=downshift, down=upshift) standard from the factory.

 

^^^ u obviously have not driven euro / jdm automatics. They do not come set like ours.
