Hey guys, I am a new member sort of.... I was on here with my 05 TL some years ago and just recently rejoined after getting my 08 TL-S last month. My question is about the key. I only got one and it's beat to hell. It still functions but is an eye-sore. My thought is to buy a gently used key on ebay and transplant the actual key( including transponder) and the electronic box over to the new shell. Of course my buttons have the chrome worn off and I would be using the new units buttons as well. Are the TSX and other switchblade 4 button fobs the same internals as the TL key? It seems I can get a TSX key for 1/3 of the cost of a TL yet they seem to be the same... Any thoughts would be appreciated.
