Depends how you wire them...if you wire them the recommended way, each sill will operate independently depending on the open door

is there suppose to be a film on the top part that we have to remove? i know theres one on the back but i'm not too sure about the front(top part). i mean it sorta looks like there is but i don't want to go ripping off shit when it's not suppose to be ripped off.

OH YEEAAHH!!! Got mine two days ago...but since I'm not keen on the previous installation instructions I'll wait for THIS version of sills' installation guide. Someone jump up and do a LED Lighted sills installation for dummies guide. LOL.

they go over factory sills with the supplied double sided tape. no need to remove the oem acura silver door sill piece either from the actual oem door sill.
you may or may not need to add more double sided tape. but yea they can be removed because its just double sided tape holding it down

Half way done with my install. Attached all four sills to stock oem sills. I used extra double sided mounting tape on the fronts and especially on the rear sills where the curved area is. That curved area had to be built up a little with square pieces of mounting tape in layers.
Not really much of a DIY on this part if you have common sense and test fit as you go. I didnt bother with pics since im pretty lazy when it comes to making a DIY.
Will probably install and wire them up tomorrow. My only concern at this point is those curved areas on the rear sills since the curve seems a little high (even before adding mounting tape) and hope the doors close without them getting scratched up.
I also used a couple rubber clamps to help with making a good adhesion to the stock sills. Left them in place for a couple minutes as i put them on different areas of each sill.
I used 3m mounting tape

someone suggested clamping the sills in place for atleast over night for a tight snug fit, but my question is what kind of clamps are being used?
can someone show me a picture of the clamp and where i can buy it from?

i was actually thinking of replacing my sills with these rather than overlaying....i dont know if these sills can handle the weight or fit for that matter....
anyway i will be installing mine this weekend....stay tuned....will do a DIY unless someone beats me to it....

driver side is done/installed and working also driver front and rear work seperately. I didnt use the included wire harness either. I only used it to find out which wires were + and - from the LED on the door sill.
From looking at the supplied wire harness, it looked like the driver front and rear wouldnt operate independantly, i could be wrong but thats just me, only because that harness has 2 wires (minus the black connection clips) to connect.
dont have time to do passenger side today, will continue tomorrow. Followed the directions listed here http://www.sbadesign.com/acurazine/sills/, minus the voltage regulators.
i got my connections directly at the wire loom running along the interior door sill (front and rear)
easy and no need to go directly to the fuse box behind driver kick panel. I also have a few years of 12v install experience and had my voltage multimeter.

This connects the front and back...i was also thinking of going without using the connector but lets see the how the install goes....
Thanks man
Are you looking for something in particular....shade of red or some like that....?

exactly that swoosh. the red. I know these are LEDS and completely different than the EL ones but i would like to see the red on. Like i stated early, the EL were not really red while on. they were more like pink...

there are only 2 wires to connect because the black connectors just plug in. so you have a black wire and a red wire to connect. The black wire goes to the door pin wire, and the red to 12v constant.
Since there is only one black to connect, its only going to operate off of one door pin, so if that door pin wire from the door is open, both will light up instead of one. if that door is closed and the other is open, none will light up, therefor they will not operate independently

Maybe your harness is different than mine, I was referencing the only one I got in this pic, http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...n/4b2ff947.jpg

nope there are 2 red and 1 black for each harness....and you have 2 harness like that....just imagine they share a common ground and individual power....
