Leave it alone and add the ATLP. Or add the ASPEC and ATLP. Either way you cant lose.
Its so funny looking at those diagrams, Im a Auto Appraiser and look at those type of diagrams on my estimating software.

good thing you have me evan, I just got finished with my rear and I'll be ordering the type s rear lip kit soon.
I went the long path and got a brand new type s rear bumper, and got it beautifully painted.
I DID get the rear bumper garnish (the mesh) BUT I did NOT get the exhaust cut-outs because when the type-s rear aspec goes on, that must come off, so there's no point in spending money (it's a rip off too) if it's just going to come off. ATLP should be coming to my house this week
My best friend is going to cut up his bumper and slap the type s rear aspec lip--the other method. I'll try to snap some pics of it but if you have any questions, feel free to ask cause I've pretty much done type s headlights, type s front bumper with lip, and type s rear.

To the OP: Just like Al says, you dont really need to cut THAT much off, mainly just around the exhaust openings and the open spot in the Type S Aspec lip. I just chopped the whole section off as I knew that it was gonna be on there for good.

I did the conversion about two months ago. I went with the whole thing. Type S rear bumper, mesh, Type S rear A-spec, and rear bumper shims(these were essential because my original ones did not hold the bumper on very well). I paid $720 OTD.
