Sunroof not closing flush with roof
I just noticed today that the front driver's side corner of my sunroof sits lower that the passenger side. The passenger side looks flush with the roof but the driver's side does not. I wash my car personally at least weekly and have just noticed this today. I have tried to open it and close it several times but it does not seem to close fully. I searched the 3G Garage but did not see any treads that addresses this problem. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I am guessing this will be the first thing to take to the dealership and have them fix along with the first oil change.

A trip to the dealer is certainly called for. I don't remember seeing anything about this in the forum. Something must have loosened up and got out of adjustment.

Not sure about it. On my last car wash, I did not notice any significant dripping but did not pay close attention.
There is no gap but one of the sides is raised a little... so thought that perhaps there could be some adjustment to this.

If it isn't closing flush, I would think that some part got bent somehow.
I doubt if the service manual would cover, since, in your case, you don't know what part is damaged.
No adjustment that I am aware of.

I was thinking about that too but do not feel that is the case.
It was fine a couple of days ago until my recent roadtrip to LA when I used it extensively (got to enjoy the desert sun :b)
Is there a chance some parts could have got loose? or need tightening?

Not to worry about getting water in the car. Every moonrooof has two water passages on each side to let the water drain out along the bottom of the car. People don't realize that. Older cars that get small leaves getting stuck in the exit tubes end up with water in there drivers or passangers floor boards. It is a common problem on the american made cars. I would have it fixed soon but no need to worry about water getting into the car.

Thanks in advance.!

There is a "Moonroof Calibration" on page 22-288 of the service manual. It is to be performed whenever the moonroof is moved manually or a component has been replaced. Since I don't have a flat scanner, here's a summary:
1. Turn ignition ON (II).
2. Open the moonroof fully.
3. Pull and hold the moonroof OPEN switch until the glass moves slightly back to the mechanical stop and then slightly forward again.
4. Release the OPEN switch.
5. Within 5 sec., pull and hold the OPEN switch again.
6. In 3 sec., the glass will begin to slide closed.
7. Continue to hold the OPEN button until the glass moves top the closed position, tilts up and returns to the closed position.
8. Test the moonroof auto operation.
Page 20-50 of the SM has a moonroof troubleshooting guide. It says if the glass doesn't sit flush, run the calibration, and if that doesn't work then perform a manual glass height adjustment. This involves loosening bolts and manually adjusting the glass. There are four T25 Torx bolts on the moon roof (two on each side, front and back.) Loosen them, adjust the glass, tighten and done.
Of course, if it's under warranty and you trust Acura, you may want to take it in and let them mess with it. Good luck!

Thanks folks. I greatly appreciate all your helpful response.
I came back from the dealer. Their service dept is closed today but I made an appt.
Btw I checked out a 07 TL-S (or o8?) on showroom flr and it has the same issue with its moonroof but not as noticeable. Guess that I can show to them that mine should be a valid factory-issue.

I have similar problem. Driver/rear corner side sits higher than other 3 sides. I will try the calibration. If that does not fix it, I may go to dealer to fix it. Looks like I don't have any negative effect of this issue. No water leak. Maybe more wind noise? I don't know. I have only 2500 miles on this car. So don't know the wind noise level when every corner sits flush.
