Any suggestions for sun shades? Covers?
I found this on the net and it looks pretty smart to me.

Actually, if you look at the web site, you'll see that you can shut the door over the thing, which locks it to your vehicle and makes it impossible to "snatch."

Well if you read the fine print from the website and choose to beleive it, no tint won't do the same thing. This thing should have a much greater cooling effect, and total protection from sun damage.
It's somewhere between a windows shade, and a car cover.
There's a video on the web site that pretty much tells you everything. I'm pretty sold, I think I'll order one.
I just wanted to see what others thought, and if anyone already has one.

I had one just like it for my 90 Integra. It was called a “cockpit cover”.
I found it to be a pain to put on, and really just a waste of time because it did not keep the car clean. I only used it for a couple of months.
Just my $.02 worth.

I've used Car covers and they are a pain.
I live where it is Hot, Africa Hot, in the summer.
This is inexpensive at $40. I say go for It. I'm going to buy one as well.
Thanks

Mine is on order as well. I'll post results after I use it during the winter months here in Tennessee. (It's cold as an Alaskan well digger's butt here.)

I'll wait for posts from people who've bought it, but it looks pretty good to me so far. I've had cars with dark interiors for the last four years and I HATE how hot they get in the summer. Tint does almost NOTHING to reduce the internal temperature. Take it from someone with first-hand knowledge. I lived in New Mexico, where it is legal to have very dark tint. I had the best and darkest metallic reflective tint, and it was no improvement. Don't get me wrong, tinting is essential for other things: like driving, when a hot sun is shining from the side, but not for reducing interior heat of the car left in the sun for more than 5 minutes.

OK, received mine last week and tried it on my Lexus. (TL is on order) It seems to work pretty well althought it didn't fly quite as easy as they claim. Maybe practice will help.
I decided to leave it on my Lexus with it shut in both front doors over xmas vacation. I went out to my car this morning, and it was quite icy. Great, I thought, I'm gonna take it off and no frost.
However, I soon discovered this thing was stuck to my car. With some tugging it came off and revealed very little ice on my windshield. However, as a moved to the passenger side and pulle, the cover ripped. So it's ruined. I'm gonna call them today and see what they'll do.
My opinion so far? I think this will be great in the summer, but not a good option for the winter. I don't like that it sticks to the car, and if you wad it up and put it in your trunk you're gonna be putting about a gallon of ice/water in your trunk as well.
If they won't replace it free, I'll most likely still get one for the summer to protect my NHBP/Ebony heat collector.

OK, called them this afternoon, and told them what happened.
They are sending me a replacement, even though I could have prevented this by being more careful.
The winter thing isn't really gonna be an issue on this, because the TL will be garaged. I think it's gonna work great for summer.
And major props to the company for customer service.

What the heck does that mean?:lol2:
I've always tinted my windows living in S Florida, as many people do in warm climates. Aside from the practical benefits of tinting, it also looks good if you get the right tint shade to match your cars color.
