STRIPPED! ACURA TL GUTTED OVERNIGHT in secure garage in MARYLAND!
My 2008 NBP Type S 6Sp was parked in my controlled access garage attached to my luxury apartment complex in Bethesda Maryland. I went out to it at 6:40 A.M. only to find my whip missing the trunk lid, center console (navi, radio, air vents etc), air bag. My trunk still had my brand new Nintendo Wii and Wii Fit Plus + 2 Balance boards still sitting in the trunk! They only took my car parts! Anyone else have their car stripped for parts?

Now might be the worst time to ask but do you have any pictures of your V1 install?

wtf? why did you leave a wii with all the accessories in your trunk? It might have been too dark for them to recognize it.
Looks like a good opportunity to install a carputer.

This happened to a friend of mine about a year ago. He was in a controlled access garage in King farm overnight. Comes out the next morning and his RSX is gutted. Cinderblock under the backend and his spare tire propping up the front... Freakin rediculous.

wow thats messed up. Not to smart on the thief's part to leave the wii and accessories. I know the navi console is real expensive if you are going to buy new. Hope everything works out.

It was entirely shocking to see. Even more shocking was the cost to replace everything. Because they had cut so many wires to get to my airbags or whatever, they had to rewire the entire car. The cost to my insurance was damn near $10k!! On top of that, they had my car for nearly a month.
*sigh* I hope your car won't be in the same state mine was in.

While my car wasn't in a secured parking garage, it was in the driveway of a fairly busy street. About 3 years ago, my 2002 Altima was stripped much in the same way as yours. They stole the radio, the airbags (both driver and passenger), the seatbelts and my radiator. They left my ipod in my glove compartment though.

Sorry about your loss, I think we should go medieval on criminals like that, if I caught them, I would take them down to my basement and chop their fingers off if I could get away with it. I hate low life criminals

WOW! sorry to here that! I have the same exact setup you have NBP Type S 6spd. I would now put a security system in the garage area with just a motion and siren so these POS people will get their ass caught! I project manage for security cameras, alarms etc and they are always coming in handy when stuff like this happens. Matter of fact that is one reason i installed a camera in my garage and wired it for alarm to my DVR so that if motion happens camera comes on and alerts if someone is in the garage at any given time. GL and hope everything goes well.

Could potentially be an inside job, someone who works at the complex and has access? Either way that sucks man, they'll probably never get caught unless there were cameras. Good luck dealing with insurance.

Did they break a window to get inside? I know that we don't have shock sensors in our window so if they had busted it out, the alarm wouldn't have sounded. Sorry to hear about your loss. It just feels like you've been so violated after seeing something like that.

Anyways, I HATE thieves like a passion! I've had two cars stolen and the feeling is horrible. Its weird that they targeted specific car parts but its not surprising. The first car I had stolen, the thieves only stole my aftermarket parts that I just had bought a week before (we think the shop I bought the parts from stole my car, long story), plus they only stole three rims and left the fourth one on the car. That's some odd shit! Sorry to hear about your situation, hope everything works out for you.

Let's not talk about last Saturday
We can at least say Pete Carroll is a huge dick for calling that last play.
