Stolen type-s emblem in San Francisco

Hi everyone... just had my rear 'type-s' emblem stolen off the back of my 08 TL-S sometime last night. I live in the Richmond district in San Francisco... wondering if anyone else had had this happen and has any suggestions? The worst part is the jerk dug his key into my paint pretty deep to pry the thing off. I have a feeling he is selling them on ebay ... found what seemes to be the exact same one posted around the same time it was stolen.

I'm sorry to hear! That sucks

Because your car is a 3G TL, this should be posted in the 3G section, not the 4G. Get a moderator to move it over there for you. More people should respond about this topic over in that section than over here.

Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear you got ripped off.

I deleted your post in the Black Market since we keep that forum for selling and buying, and you posted this thread here, which is the place for it. The person who posted that thread hasn't been here in 7 years so you probably wouldn't get a reply anyway.

Someone else around here reported back about the Type-S stock wheels getting stolen right in his driveway. So it could have been much worse I suppose. People love that car man, and everything about it.

Thanks for moving my post to the correct section... from reading the replies, I guess it could have been a lot worse. I just have a feeling this guy is going around the neighborhoods and taking similar things so just seeing if anyone else in the bay area had the same thing happen. It sucks when something happens to your car!

Sorry to hear about the badge loss. Why can't people respect other's things? I wanna say a replacement badge will run around $45.00 at the dealer. On a more cheerful note, welcome to AZ

To me it sounds like some teenagers stole your emblem, its not of great value and seems like a dumb thing to steal.

Some kids just don't use their head, they don't understand their actions will affect other peoples lives...anyways yeah it does suck to have your car violated.

Idiots. Get one from a junkyard or something like that. I bet the stealership will charge you like $30 for it!

Ouch.

That sucks. Luckily new Type-S emblems aren't too expensive and you could place it over the area where the dumbass dug into your paint.

I'd like to say something like "I'm glad that I don't have a Type-S now" because of that, but I just can't. I'm still quite jealous of your eliteness.

I'm in the upper sunset district, never faced a problem, but it seems it can happen to anyone.

I recently saw a RSX with our type-s logo smack on top of the "RSX" logo, probably the ugliest thing I've seen.

Anyways, sorry for the loss.. the Richmond is usually a nice area too.

sorry buddy. i'm in that area every so often and drive a base. i'm hesitating to mod it out too much because of arseholes like that.

i had an emblem crudely jacked several years ago in the outer sunset from some kids.

It is, but because its a nice neighborhood with nice cars it has lately become a target for theft, guy up the street with a 300 SRT-8 almost got his wheels stolen as well
