Well the title says it all, i woke un 2 morning ago to see my side skirts and front bumper were gone =/ , i tought i lived in ok neighborhood but i was wrong, i dont know how these type of things work, the insurance i mean, i have full coverage but would my monthly insurance go up ? Will they replace my parts seeing how i have recites for aspec. And how long after do i get the money to replace the parts after claim. Hare are some pics,, will post more in a little bit ..

That reeally sucks man. sorry to see this. Just wanted to let you know though, I work for State Farm, insurance will cover everything, youll have to pay your deductible of course but then theyll cover the rest. Your insurance wont go up because it wasnt an accident and it wasnt your fault. And yes they will replace the Aspec for you. Whatever was on the car when it was damaged is what goes back on the car. As far as how soon? Let your insurance company know and take it to a good body shop to get an estimate. Once you do that send the estimate to your insurance and depending on who u have they should send someone out right away to look at it. Once they do that it should be probably a few more days before they agree on what its going to cost to get fixed and theyll cut u a check u can go pick up. Let me know if you have any other questions and ill do my best to answer

Thanks A lot!!!! u made me feel a little better. i took the car in today to the insurance company to get inspected so hopefully this week ill get a estimate ..i really do hope the insurance doesn't go up .Im with Geico.

that's just wrong!! geico is usually pretty good...work with a high end shop and they will get you all fixed up. your insurance won't go up. i had an MBI claim with geico...my rates either stayed the same or went down a little the next policy period.

Donny... I would go straight to the guy down the street from you that got his aspec rear bumper stolen.. they obviously have an eye on you and the other guy!! This is what makes me not care about having mods on my TL. Scummy ass people out there. I wish these people would be blasted to space with no oxygen mask. I hope your insurance does good for you. Go to the best body shop for sure!! I am surprised with how clean they took the bumper and sides off... they definitely know what they are doing.

 

Whom ever did this was a expert for sure ...my brother goes to work at 5;30 and i saw the parts gone at 730 so thats a 2hr time period...someone was watching me

no they didnt take my intake i just took the resonator box out

 

i was lucky not to have my fogs on at the time ...but they got the fog light housing

 

Probably took em 20 min to take it off a couple guys one on each side bam done, just unscrew the the bolts pop the clips take the brackets and slowly pull the lip from the double sided tape

 

They took my bumper too plus the aspec

 

That sucks. When I had my Scion tC I was worried about modding the exterior because of jerkoffs who steal even in broad daylight at times. Anyway ..anyone know any reputable paint shops in Queens? I just got my hands on a kit I need painted ASAP. jk ..sorry..I had to.

 

THey stole mine about a month ago, I'm also in your area(~~130th and 133rd ave). I made a thread in the NY/NJ section if you'd like to see a pic. They took my rear Aspec, just ripped it off right in my driveway on a rainy night, much like last night.

It's someone that knows these cars damm well, just the way mine was done and the way yours was done. I also saw the guy your talking about with the WDP TL who had his trunk spoiler and rear Aspec ripped off too and he said its a similar situation.

It's not anyone from the neighborhood, its people who are coming into this neighborhood and see these particular cars around.

Just to add, I went through insurance for vandalism and they covered all of it. If your full covered you might not need the receipt for the Aspec since your still missing your front bumper and sideskirts, which are essential parts. Get a police report and call your insurance. The bill for OEM parts to fix my bumper and rear sidemarker was ~$1500 per State Farm.
