They unscrewed the phillips screws on both sides of my rear aspec with the wheel on which is not a easy task along with all the bolts on the bottom, these guys know these cars front to back.

Sorry to hear. You were most definitely watched. Crazy how they took the bumper. Sadly this is what happens when the prices for cars start getting low. 3G TL can be had for $7k. The civic crowd starts taking these cars and this type of garbage starts happening.

I wouldn't doubt whoever did this is on the forum. I recall on TSX-Club a member had his aspec lip ripped off at a shopping mall and the cameras caught a modded TSX parked behind the victims TSX when the crime was taking place. After much forum investigating they noticed a user asking the OP where he worked and when he worked. That user even showed up with the stolen lip on his car to a track meet or something. Sure would hate to see someone from AZ doing this.

http://www..com/forums/canada-east/3...l-members.html

Please keep your eyes open and be cautious of strange cars in the area. Perhaps we can catch these lowlifes.

OP, keep an eye on your TL-s rims also, they seem to be attractive to theives, so they might come back for that .

Reading around from the past "occurrences" in Queens area seems like WDP 3G TL are targeted. One guy had his front stolen the other his rear and sides? I think the thief got a full aspec that way.

The last guy had his 3G TLS stolen after getting his lip stolen. =(

how did they take off the front bumper so cleanly? I understand the screws on top off wheel well/bolts and clips on the bottom of car are cake...but it is not easy to take off that bumper without the hood popped open.

was the middle plastic cover that clips onto the front hood still intact on your car? There should be some signs off damage at least on the top of the bumper where it meets the middle of the hood.

IIRC the top of the bumper is only help on by plastic brackets, I suppose if you pull hard enough they'll break but who really knows.

im just saying...ive taken off my front bumper atleast 15 times....and i still have to pop open my hood every time. With the hood popped open it takes about 5 mins to take the bumper off....i tried one time to see if i could do it with the hood closed and it was definitely going to cause visible damages to the bumper/middle of the hood so i stopped.

whoever these guys are .....they are pretty fucken good. I just dont understand how someone can do this shit in front of a house. Get a viper alarm man the shock sensors will instantly go off even if someone kicks your tires. and PLEASE make sure you have all the bolts and screws on

Damn bro! Fawking blows! Your alarm didn't go off? WTF? I got the factory alarm on the car, and a viper 5901 on my car, but more important i got my 45, AR15 and my lil' SIG 22, all with loaded clips ready to go if need be. (trigger locks on all). I don't know how laws are up there, but here in Texas its your backup alarm. If you do find them, don't kick their ass, shoot them.

WOW!
Sorry to see and hear about this theft.
I just received my a-spec kit, I will def invest in an alarm before i install.
TL's are becoming popular, they are bound to become the accords and civics and theft will increase. Sucks you can't have nice things, especially in certain areas, psh.
Goodluck OP!

It's someone that knows these cars damm well, just the way mine was done and the way yours was done. I also saw the guy your talking about with the WDP TL who had his trunk spoiler and rear Aspec ripped off too and he said its a similar situation.

It's not anyone from the neighborhood, its people who are coming into this neighborhood and see these particular cars around.

Just to add, I went through insurance for vandalism and they covered all of it. If your full covered you might not need the receipt for the Aspec since your still missing your front bumper and sideskirts, which are essential parts. Get a police report and call your insurance. The bill for OEM parts to fix my bumper and rear sidemarker was ~$1500 per State Farm.

donny- take it from someone who deals with clients that takes justice in their own hands- Let the police handle it. It's sad but in some situations, criminals have more rights than victims......

Yep! Right in front of my house too!! I installed a surveillance system right after that around my house that always has 2 or 3 cameras on the car and no more parking on the street. The funny thing is I don't think any of this will stop a determined criminal. I was thinking about an a-spec kit but after this..i'm not sure..lol.

Not sure about Gieco.

I have Allstate and recently got in a car accident. The adjuster came by the day after the accident, at my house, and gave me an estimate. He didn't even ask if the lip was aftermarket or not. He printed me a check from inside his car on the spot....

The situation is different, yes (accident vs. vandalism) but if you have full coverage idk what the wait is all about...I'd be mad.

A lot of full coverage insurance policies include a small coverage for aftermarket equipment. My policy included up to $1k coverage which I honestly didn't know until I called them up.

I do have to give State Farm a thumbs up, adjuster came to look at it 3 days later and printed me a check right on spot.
