Steering wheel A-Spec Package YES/NO?

Some say that the dealer put the steering wheel in with the A-spec for the 2006 because it was a part of the package in 2005, but not in the 2006.

Is this true?

Did they really take out the steering wheel for the 2006 A-Spec package?

There have been a couple of threads on this. I believe they took it out. If you want it you'd have to get in seperately.

actually, my dealer today told me that the steering isnt part of the package on some information boards, but the offical acura said it still is. he made a call to them and they said i get a choice of the carbon fiber or wood steering wheel.

so dont let any dealer rip you off and let you think that its not a part of the 06 aspec package. i found out today that it definately is!

So I guess the dealer I bought my car from owes me a sports steering wheel...

hahahahah...like that's gonna happen. Those guys wouldn't do jack for me.

Good luck to those trying to get the steering wheel AFTER handing over the money.

I beg to differ and might stand corrected in the end...but the official Acura web site says nothing anymore about steering wheels. They are just making good because you pressed the issue or asked.....because they once were included and now are not. Fact is....as you have found...if you hold em up over it...they will make it happen from one level or another at Acura. Think about the choices they gave you.....they didnt even mention the true A-spec steering wheel to you...but the wood or CF one? Whats that tell ya....that the A-spec steering wheel is included? No...it tells me that they were making you happy with something they have in stock and install on a lot of TL's! Note...take the CF steering wheel if it matches your style and car....I think it is the most expensive one they offer of the three!
Although I like the A-spec steering wheel with the blue stitching? I think it is actually the cheapest one they offer of the three...

My guess is if the dealer had included the steering wheel in your A-Spec package, you would have paid a higher price for the car.

I never thought the A-spec steering wheel was sufficiently different from stock to spend $300 on it anyway.

GUARANTEE A-SPEC WHEEL in 2006

Ok, so talked to the dealer again.

The price I paid for my 06 TL was 39,000 OTD.

The car was 32,500 and A-Spec package with install was 6500. (Taxes and Plates, they took care of to come out with 39,000)

With 6500 paid for the A-Spec package, I am telling you all that steering wheel is included with the purchase of A-Spec. Even though there is nothing on the website, the dealer had called the Acura Headquarters and had told me that the A-Spec steering wheel needs to be included. However, because the dealer caused me the inconvinence and hassle over the matter for literally a week with phone calls back and forth, he had also offered to give me an option of the more expensive steering wheels (CF or Wood).

So go get your A-Spec wheel if you didn't get one!!!

$6500 out the door with A-spec....WOW. I bet they included the A-spec steering wheel! That explains a lot. Note...A-spec body kit @ $760...wheels/tires for $2200...suspension for $600...which is roughly $3560...that leave a lot of "wiggle" room there. Throw the steering wheel in at $320 and you still have a lot of room to work there! I'd say you definately paid for it....may as well get it, huh? Good detective work though!

I think part of the prob comparing the two is that most people around here got it after the fact and took advantage of the ebay/group buys/ect deals that were around. So it will always look like you overpaid to this section of people....or the do-it-yourself'ers and get-it-yourself'ers anyway. But hey...if you got the cash....may as well get it right away. I personally...just didnt want to finance a part of my car that depreciates so quickly in comparison to the actual car....as I did not "cash out" at time of purchase.
