Squeaky Brembos

Squeaky Brembos
Have my Silver 6MT for 3 weeks now and Brembos are squeaking occasionally when braking at low speed while taking a small turn e.g. turning into a driveway/parking spot. Dealer had a look, cleaned something and basically said that they need to be broken in. Not happening as often but....I am already at 1500Km. Anyone else experience this or have any ideas?
Otherwise the car has been amazing including in some snow (yes, I have winter tires)

Seating the break?
Not sure if this helps, but I know a friend of mine got a G35 coupe with the Brembos and he had to "seat" them per the dealership. Not certain exactly what he did but I will contact him today. Ask your dealer about this. Hope it helps.

I had the same experience on the weekend. Pulling into a parking spot and lightly applying the brakes, I and other shoppers definitely heard something! I am going to have the dealer look at it... that's just not right.

I've had squeeking too. Isn't there some anti-squeek stuff that you can put on the backside of the pads for this sort of thing?
I'm nearing 900km's on mine and have the exact same symptoms. At low speeds it squeeks.

Folks, these are aggressive brakes with an aggressive pad compound. They are going to make noise and they are going to cause more dust than normal brakes. I can already see the difference from the front to back (which is common even if you have the same brake set-up, since you use the fronts more).
The best thing you can go is drive them properly, which means actually using their stopping power on occasion. I suspect that many of the people who bought the 6MT are not driving their cars hard enough.
These brakes were meant to be used. They are not a cosmetic addition. They problably work better when they are up to temperature than when they are cold, unlike softer compounds.
You should hear the sound of Mintex racing pads on Zimmerman slotted rotors, as were on my 325i for track use. They squeal every time. I don't care because the car stops better than it did with the Pagid sports or the stock pads.
STOMP ON THOSE BREMBOS!

I have 2000km+ and they still squeel
I have tried seting them by driving and stopping hard... did not help....have an appointment at the dealer next Tuesday...I still love the car... 5 or 6 things need minor repair... 2nd gear sticks, memory in seats, paint bubble on trunk interior.... metalic accents dented.... also just notices white spots on the Brembos....

FOB is an air force term for "foreign objects" stones, trash or other stuff that may lay on a runway and be a hazard to aircraft taking off and landing. Sometimes contaminants will lodge between the caliper and pad or disc surface. These can lead to sqeaks.

the "setting them" that was mentioned above is actually a known as "bedding" the pads. high performance brake systems need to have this done to function properly. i would check the manual to see what honda recommends.
bedding is accomplished by performing a series of 10 60-5mph stops with enough braking force applied to bring the car to a stop as quickly as possible, but without engaging the abs. let the brakes cool, then repeat this 2 more times (total of 30 stops.)
important notes- do not come to a complete stop while you're doing this.
if you experience fading or smoke during the first series of 10, stop. you're now finished with the first set of stops.
once again, i'm not sure if acura recommends you do this with the tl, but i had to when i installed the stoptech big brake kit on my NSX and it worked great.
also, most high performance braking systems will make noise while braking at low speeds. no way around that.

I think that is the ABS engaging. It should be a pulsating feeling.

It seems that some people may not have an accurate understanding of the way the Brembos should perform. If you want quiet brakes you shouldn't have gotten 12.2 inch rotors with 4 piston Brembo calipers and HP pads.
I don't know if anybody makes aftermarket pads for the TL Brembos, such as the excellent Hawk HPS pads, but that may be a way to cut down (not eliminate) the noise of a BBK. (Big Brake Kit for those not in 'the know').
