Spray Paint removal?

Is there a way to remove black spray paint off of a white truck? My dad's truck got spray on the front bumper by someone.

Didn't say if it was over spray from another source or direct vandalism.

Either way, try denatured alcohol, goof-off or something along that line. Just test it on a non visible area first. that line.

Paint stores, Home Depot. Remember, test them somewhere safe first. Can also try a cheap brand of wax like Turtle Wax first, they have cleaners in them that may take the paint off as well. For now keep it out of the sun/heat to avoid baking it on.

The only thing you need to remove the overspray is a Mother's Clay Bar.

Exactly. My G35 got overspray on it and the clay bar removed the paint very easily.

Find someone who owns an orbital buffer and with some polish it will come off, most body shops have these, I own one and was able to remove spray paint that my son used to paint a scratch but he got the wrong color....good luck..

clay bar should work since you have a clear coat under the vandalism... give it a try...

Exactly...my son sprayed the section of his bumper directly on the surface and after he brought the car out in the sun he noticed his mistake.... and it wasn't just a layer....

We still don't know to this day. The guy who owns the car is as white as the car so either it was and they got the wrong car or just some punk ass kids thought it would be funny. That happened a few years ago though.

Or you coulda used paint thinner with mineral abstracts. From home depot in the paint section. It's like $12 dollars. You cant go crazy with it, but it will NOT take the paint off your car. Obviously if you know anything about cars, there's a clear coat OVER the paint, thus your not rubbing on the paint when you try to get that spray paint, etc. off. But glad you got that $hit off your car man ... that's just not right.
