My TL is only 2 mons old with only 4000 miles on it and there is a rock chip on the hood and the front bumper. I noticed frist one 2 weeks and while cleaning my Tl today noticed the second one on the bumper i don't know wut to do ... should i get a clear bra ? some kinda paint protection?

 

you could probably get some touch up paint and then put on a clear bra and be ok from future chips

 

Mine goes into the dealer next week for a clear bra...same thing happened to me got a nice chip in the hood and one in the bumper, decided it was time to add the clear bra. They're going to fix the chips first as well, they can do a better job professionally than I can with a touch up bottle.

 

same thing happened with me. I drove it in the snow for a couple hours on the highway. Salt, etc. hit it. and the bumper chipped like there was no tomorrow. 2 weeks later i got the clear shield. I have a white 1st gen TL and it looks so damn near flawless. But of course a black bumper would show any kind of chip as opposed to the white bumper.
