i have wing spoiler...it looks nice...personally i like the wing spoiler because i think it gives it more of a racing/sporty look....the decklid gives the car more of a stylish sleak look

I agree completely, the rear wing spoiler looks cool. It's really personal preference though. I would recommend looking at both in person, it helped me make up my mind.

Yes.

You could flip one of these if you still can't make up your mind.

I like the lid spoiler better, in case you need a tie breaker.

I was in SF Bay Area visting my brother when I saw 5 TL within 10 minutes, 2 black, 1, blue, 1 anthriracite, 1 green. I was excited. But my brother thinks I am crazy.

And this has what to do with deck lid spoilers and wings?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...

If you consider the TL a sporty luxury car, then you're more apt to like the lip spoiler (if any). If, however, you consider the TL a luxurious sports car, then you're going to gravitate toward the wing. It's all personal preference. The best spoiler is the one YOU like. It's your wallet (or purse) after all.

Having said that. I have the wing... and I love it. I'm the only RRP in my area with a wing (that I've seen), and I like being unique.

I have the wing.....I like it. It's not "over the top"...just big enough to make a statement. It also, IMHO, adds a little extra angle of downward sloping geometry toward the front.....giving the car even more of a "wedge" shape. Just my .02.....but i like it.

None of the above, although I consider the decklid less objectionable than the wing.

Wing. When I was looking at TL's at the dealer, I saw one with the wing and one with the lid, and my father and I both agreed that the wing looked better. So now I have a 2004 TL with a wing.

I'll say it again. Forget whether or not it's a luxury car or a souped up version of the cheapest car made. It's what you think. No disrespect intended to anyone with a deck lid spoiler, but it did not look as integrated into the deck lid as I would have cared for, but did look nice. The same comments apply to the wing, it obviously did not look "integrated", but to me it added a huge amount of "sportiness" - to me personally. The previous posters are right too, it depends on what you are looking for.

Really, look at them side by side if you can. See which excites you deep down in side then decide. Forget what we think, it's your car and will be for some time. You have to be happy when you walk out to get in it. I know when I walk out to my TL I get excited!

I hope this helps....

Deck lid. I've always favored the quiet and subtle elegance in things.

Hey, if you normally go over 110 mph, then you might want to consider getting the wing, since it will do a bit more good than the deck lid.

BTW: If you normally drive that fast, let me know so that I don't drive on the same roads... we have enough morons in PA as it is.

The cool thing about the car is that it looks good with either spoiler or even without... though for my tastes, I got the decklid.

No spoiler. Why mess with the clean lines of the TL. But what ever you like is fine, its your car.

Wing...

I did the wing because I got a good price from HandA on the wing - did the install myself. And I like the fact that now I can judge where the rear end is because I can see the wing in the mirror or out the rear window.

It's totally a matter of personal preference. It's your money, buy what ya like and don't worry about what anyone else thinks.
